I wish I knew. There's guys on the team that know a lot more about that then I do. I'm just a mere physics, setup and data guy. These guys are breaking into new territory though and the only thing that will help them is Reiza allowing for more internal data or modding tools. I'm afraid there may be stuff they won't find out without a push in the right direction.

 

Why?

Because then it's one click in and one click out...

It would do all the entries in the correct files so I wouldn't have to touch them...

Let's just say there's a year or 2 before the doors are opened properly by Reiza to make it easier... The more mods there are the more chances that having too many loaded at the same time could cause issues...

So to have the option to have say the Alpine mod and Sugo installed but nothing else by selecting a profile would really help... Especially for an online scenario where you want the smoothest experience possible, only having the necessary mods for the event installed would increase stability chances...

 

As the number of mods increases, so increases the likelihood of having mods that aren't quickly updated and/or buggy. The one click in and out sounds handy.

 

Just comment out the mods you don't want to show up in tracklist, and vehiclelist, done deal.
Making a small script that swaps out those two files with any mod combination you want, is also an easy option.
Another option, if you have the harddrive space, is having multiple installs of Automobilista with different mod configurations, another script can then just rename the ams2 folder under steam.
I recommend Autohotkey for making these kind of scripts, it will do anything you can think of.

 

Is the Indy car mod limited to 307 km/h on the straight ? i can`t get any more top speed making the gears longer doesn`t help.

 

If you are talkin the straight on an oval, then yes, the oval version has not been released yet.

 

Changing the gear ratios and final drive might be helpful.

 

Tried that it made it slower, if i run default setup (rear wing 15) with the 6th gear two clicks longer its 307 km/h at Road America, Wat Glen, and Daytona RC if lower the rear wing to 10 its still 307 km/h surely a lower rear wing should give more straight line speed even if its only a few km/h more ?

It's like 6-7 cars from all the teams with all the 2023 livers.

 

Yeah, mods are great but are also a huge pain, especially as time goes on and they lose compatibility. I think we are all familiar with the Assetto Corsa experience. What seems like an endless stream of content ends up just being a bunch of wasted time.

FWIW, the best modding experience I've ever encountered is in LFS. There is an in-game mod browser with one-click automatic downloads.

Sounds like you only added custom my-team entry to vehicles list. Try adding all the others too from readme.
