Yes, I missed that one getting added - we've got a plan taking shape for 1990.

But that aside, there's not much to show at this stage, but a few of us are working on a 1990 pack. Could take a while, as there are a few different project balls in the air at the moment, but hope to share some previews in due course...

 

Hey folks, any guidelines on how to paint chrome liveries?

Is the process of making it chrome too complex?

 

Not really.
Depends what software you are using. I am using PS and i find it easy

 

Basically I found chrome was easy to implement once I wrapped my head around the terminology.
You’ve got three files - the paint file, the spec file, and the fresnel file. The main point of confusion (for me at least) was figuring out what “fresnel” means and how it’s applied, but the truth is you really don’t have to*. basically the fresnel image functions like a layer mask does in photoshop, determining which parts of the car will have normal specular falloff (indicated by white) and which will be chrome (indicated by black.) Will post what I mean when I get home from work.

*(for the purposes of this whole thing anyway. It’s always a good thing to expand your horizons. )
