FFB turning hard right or going loose

    Hopefully someone can help.
    Every time I play within a short amount of time, around 1-2 laps, my CSL DD wheel either turns hard right all the FFB goes loose. This has made the game totally unplayable for me.

    I have the same issue with the wheel turning violently hard right with my Logitech G Pro Wheel.

    Not sure if this is the same issue I discovered trying to setup everything this morning but it sounds like it. I'm new to this game and I have a Fanatec DD Pro. Using the recommended Fanatec wheel settings. Everything is updated. In game I set Fanatec CSL DD as the wheel. Do the wheel calibration, full clockwise, click next, center it, then do 90 where it shows 1080 as the number, click Next.

    Go in a test or drive session, stop the car. Turn the wheel full left and it does a bounce to stop from turning more. Go full right and when you hit what would be the stopping point like it was turning left, the wheel goes into this full on max power I'm gonna keep turning more rotation and slams to a lock point. Then you have to use your strength to get the wheel back out of that and back into the "normal rotation zone" to return to normal. Not sure if this is what you all are experiencing but figured I'd say my experience and what I'm trying to figure out and why I'm on these forums.

    Edit: I restarted the game without changing any settings and this resolved my issue. My wheel doesn't do any funky locking like it was when I was changing and trying a bunch of different wheel settings.

    Hey I just edit my last post. I launched the game again on my lunch break to do some more testing and try to give more scenarios and such and it appears to be fixed. I'm guessing the game didn't like me trying out Fanatec wheel base vs custom and changing fanatec from auto range to 1080 and such during all my testing.

    This time I launched the game, did a quick wheel calibration without touching actual settings. Went straight into the same cars and tracks and it worked as expected.

    It has just happened to me again (hard turning right this time, usually left) at Oulten Park in the F-Brazil. Was on the 7th lap of 8.
    Yesterday it happened in every race I did. Different cars and tracks for all of them.
    I'm unable to play as everytime I have a race I have the FFB problem.

    I had this problem on and off but it hadn't been too regular. I then had a problem where it would happen every single race making the game unplayable. I deleted AMS2, installed Windows 11, reinstalled my Fanatec software and re installed AMS2.
    It was fine for a little while but now again it's happening every race. Sometimes early on sometimes deep into a race.
    It sometimes looses all FFB, other times it turns hard left or right.
    Please help me fix this problem as I'm losing the will to play AMS2 unfortunately.

    As mentioned the game is impossible to play at the moment because of it.

    Hi everyone, just to add to this, I have also been having FFB dropout issues with my Simucube 1. The car is fine then it drops out and pulls in one direction. Sometimes it is more frequent than others, but it does put me off into the wall with the severity of the drop out.     It almost feels like EMI issues, but my wheel is fine with other sim titles.

    If you need any other info to help with diagnosing it, please let me know.

    Please try if removing (backing up beforehand) "default.controllersettings.v1.03.sav" and remapping controls after game restart does something for the issue.

    The file is under:
    "C:\Users\[userername]\Documents\Automobilista 2\savegame\[large number]\automobilista 2\profiles"

    Another thing that could be tried is using a different USB port for the device (preferably USB 2.0).

    Thanks! I think I may have fixed it by doing a complete reinstallation. It has been behaving so far, I'll let you know if there are any more occurrences.

    I went down that route, as mentioned above.
    I did seem to fix it for a while but the problem has come back.

    Unfortunately the issue reappeared last night when streaming after being fine all week.

    I have moved some USB plugs around today, moving the Simucube USB cable away from the Ethernet cable. After that I did a 20 minute test stream and had no issues whatsoever. So it may have been caused by the usb port. I’ll keep testing it and see if the issue reappears.

    Hey guys,

    I have the same issue! I tried many times to reinstall drivers, update Firmware. Nothing works. I thought my Fanatec 2.5 Base was broken, so I ordered a new Fanatec Base.....SAME PROBLEM...holy....
    I also tried a differenz USB Port. It was connected at USB 3.2 and now USB2. Same Problem.
    I am really frustrated!!
    Can anyone help?
