i've installed, created an 'enabled' folder under mods folder and copied zip files of a couple of modded cars and a track and program installed all. Launched AMS2 but program freeze when selecting new cars. Just doing a check of integrity before retry... checked, but still problems. CTD after few clicks
Edit: new cars and tracks installed work, but I see 'new/strange' car classes/white boxed and when I select them ams2 hangs ....
    Positive: much faster than JSGME

its a command line tool w/o interface.
You should read the USAGE section.
Not useful for people who cannot copy/paste files, create folders, find paths, etc

With update 0.1.1 it should be a bit more informative and it won't immediately close the window on exit. There is also a video tutorial now.

I used to see the white boxed cars when mods contained "crd" files that didn't have to be installed. Have now specified in the instructions to make sure that the game is in its original state, without any mod installed, before running AMS2CM. If that wasn't the case:
    - remove all mods from the "enabled" directory
    - run AMS2CM to remove previous installations
    - remove previously installed mods with JSGME
    - perhaps verify files on Steam just to be sure everything is as it should

If you still see the same issues, what mod is misbehaving?

I installed two tracks, brno and sugo, and that's ok. Cars: porsche 935 and Viper. Ams2 was clear of mods and files integrity checked. Will do more tests, anyway it's very promising. Thank you!

How did you do? I don't have a mod installed either but Ams2cm.exe won't launch. I followed the tutorial on RD this morning. I must be missing something...

Thank you very much, it worked.
This is officially my very first Mod installed, champagne for everyone.
I will surely still have a few questions when an update drops but I know that I could count on the Reiza community.
    Thanks again.

    So,
i found some time today to try out some mods of my interest.

1.What do you guys think of the Ferrari 250 GTO?
I think the FFB is to weak and the car is to easy to drive.
I would love it but feels wrong to me.

The Thunder Flash Mods are great especially the FIA GT1.
2.Wich mods could you advice to drive except Indycar, wich is not my taste.(tryed it though):)

Graphics and audio is good, but tires feel too modern, brakes feel too modern, and the suspension (especially the shock absorbers) feels too modern. My overall rating: Below average.

I love racing 1950s and early 1960s race cars (e.g. the 1958 F1 AMS1 mod), and hope we someday get a good car of that kind to drive around old Spa and a certain high-speed track in France, where the Lotus 23 is too slow. The Ferrari 250 GTO should fit the bill, but the handling of this mod makes it not something I would recommend for those who love to wrestle with vintage race cars, except maybe if you're a big fan of Ferraris.

I think based on this video the mod is not so far?

The guy seems to be having such a great and easy time driving the thing in this back road, I think both are progessional drivers but anyway.

To elaborate on my tires comment: Is it not true that the Ferrari 250 GTO mod uses Slick tire compound, and has the Ferrari 250 GTO ever raced on slicks in real life?

Compare the Ferrari 250 GTO mod to the Lotus 23, then the BMW 2002 and one of the German DTM cars. Aside from its heavy body roll, the Ferrari 250 GTO mod feels more modern than all of these. To me it feels supernatural, not even something I could imagine it would be like if it were modified for a Goodwood Festival of Speed run.

    Good description!
Any Mod you like?FIA GT1,i think is much better and feels more natural to me,maybe a little bit too easy as the most Mod cars.

My favorite is the Radical SR3 mod. No idea about realism, but it's fun and a good contrast to the handling of the default P3/4 classes in AMS2. I've had fun driving the FIA GT1 as well, but I must say that the engine note of that Ford sounds like it's revving way too high.
