Sorry for the late response, had actually been meaning to reply yesterday.

If you haven't, be sure to give the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup by Project CARS Modding Team a try. That thing is a UFO compared to the vanilla Cup Porsches. Maybe a tad too fast overall, but definitely great fun.

I think the drying of the track works somewhat physically but not visually, at least in Sugo. I could see the spray from the cars and as the session went on the racing line got "dry" you could still see the spray when going off line and had to use wet tires. The weird thing is that I could actually see the wet track on the rear view mirror. Will test again when I get the chance!

A quick fix you guys can try to get a little more out of the AI on these converted tracks for now is upping the AI Grip value. It's in the .trd file for the track. So, Sugo/tracks/sugo/trd file.
As you can see on mine, I upped it from 1 to 1.2. Don't expect anything drastic but this might help. I haven't tried say, 1.8 or anything ridiculous though.

(You can go into the tracks folder within the main directory and change this value without having to deactivate the track in JSGME. Make sure to adjust the value also in your MODS folder so when you DO deactivate it in the future, the value will be kept.)

Yes, in the picture you can see snow (!), trees and white buildings. [IMG]
The instructions stated that you should activate the trees first. So I did.

Should be good - though I have yet to try most of the road cars again, it's been a while since I last drove them. Probably around the time they were first released. Back then they felt okay, not quite on Reiza's level but not bad either. And I remember the FFB feeling different as well. Then again, these mod cars have surely seen a lot of updates and improvements, so I wouldn't be surprised if most were in a much better spot now!

BTW the Viper was pretty good too the last time I tried it. :)

Yeah, I get what you're saying! A car has to feel believable. There are many I haven't tried yet (or not in a long time), but from what I can tell, the race cars typically seem to feel better and more believable than the road cars; although ThunderFlashs 959 and F40 are pretty amazing, I think. The F40 in particular feels very believable and on par with Reiza's level of quality, IMHO. Not quite sure about the 959 yet - it's good, but SO different from what I remember in PCARS2; then again, it was probably way too agile in PC2. You could throw it around like there's no tomorrow in that game!

Honestly, it and the 458 Italia mod *feel* more "realistic" to me than any street car in PC2 or even the C8 road car here in AMS2. Granted, my actual road car experience "at the limit" is limited to AWD sedans on gravel and snow, but I found those two mods felt as easy as the AC versions to channel my inner Chris Harris. While I found the base game street car Camaro to be about as easy to hold at angle, the C8 is very sharp at the limit due to the grippier tire.

it's true that AMS2 lacks Formula 1. Tired of having too much Nascar, Turismo Nacional, TCR, Group 5, Group A...

It lacks some cars Reiza will never be able to add. But modders can. :)

Can this be done to all Mod Tracks? If that particular line does not exist, can it simply be added to the .trd file? All modded tracks I have tried so far have slow AI. Hoping this will help

Yes, you can add the line. Need to add it to the top portion of the file and the bottom portion with the actual data. Just look at Sugo's for reference. There's 2 lines to add.

You got it. You need the line that designates it in the top portion and then the line that gives the value in the bottom portion.
