This little project is something that will take some time to get right, but it's mainly a physics sandbox for me as I plan on focussing more on that area as I move into the future... Doing it this way also makes it easier for the end user as they just have to install the mod... There's no need to swap to a different xml for the Longtail versions of the skins... That will be auto-selected along with the models.. WSC 1989 3 - Sauber 18 - Porsche 3 - Nissan 3 - Jaguar (using the Vette until a model is sourced) 3 - Mazda (using the Nissan until a model is sourced) 3 - Toyota (using the Nissan until a model is sourced) 4 - Spice (using the Vette until a model is sourced) 1 - Courage (using the Vette until a model is sourced) 1 - Lancia (using the Vette until a model is sourced) The plan is to make a vanilla AMS2 mod version at first and hopefully get some model makers interested in making some scratch made models... I've already got a fair number of the skins, aside from the Porsche in longtail mode... If there are keen painters wanting to add their skins to the mod I'm happy to have the help as this is mainly a physics project for me... I have basic plans in place to get this right and the more I learn the better this will become... My first port of call will be to upgrade the Porsche experience... Give it 1989 specs for all the top teams... Very intersting proposition As a group C fan i cant wait to see the final product, hopefully modding improves in the future so we can add custom sounds as well as more group c to the game or reiza getting some new licenses and add some of the missing ones and maybe even add multiple generations of grp C like they did to some f1
But anyways I absolutely cant wait for your mod! specially if/when you get the models for cars like the Mazda, Toyota and Lancia (i absolutely love those 3)
I think multiple generations of Sportscar racing would be the way to go for Reiza if they have the Le Mans track signed sealed and delivered... They've got GT1 and Group C already... I'd love some modern Hypercars and LMP1 hybrids... And some Ford vs Ferrari from the 60s... And cheers!... I do hope to take this little physics sandbox to the next level...
Agree 1000% thats pretty much on top of my wishlist for this game, i even made a thread for it (all though i forgot to add gr.4,5 and 6 there lol)
Very cool content! I`m also a group c lover and will give it a try. This version and skin from toyota is so cool!! Hope one day reiza should get this official car on game.
Progress snapshot... 2 Porsche's have joined the grid... The 1987 version is now joined by the 1989 version... With the 1987 being driven in the hands of the privateers who drove older machinery in 1989...
Man, I absolutely cannot wait to see the final product of this mod! Having a full grid of Group C cars opens up so many possibilities in terms of championships, thank you for your work!

Nice, looking forward to this as Group C is one of my favorite classes. Hopefully we see some of those missing models in game someday.
Update time... Slow progress after an illness seriously kicked my ass... Slowly getting the Longtails in the game... The Lancia is currently 7 seconds off the pace at Monza... Whilst the Nissans are 4 seconds after removing their 2 way dampers and detuning their engine... The Mazda also screams properly now... Some fine tuning still to come...
