Historic America pack, with historic Laguna, IMS, Daytona, and Watkins Glen, Maybe even Road America

Add some IMSA, classic nascar, trans am and indy cars to this pack and we hav an amazing DLC

 

The new Südschleife content sent me down a rabbit hole of original track layouts.

I've photographed a few races at Mid Ohio and there's a deteriorated section of pavement left at one of my favorite photo spots. For the first two years, Thunder Valley didn't exist and there was a sequence of corners around the oak trees. I knew of this for a while, and you can walk where the track used to be, but the original merge has been fully reclaimed by nature.




Other than a few aerial photos, I couldn't find much about the original layout initially. It turns out, somebody on a Facebook group had original home film of these early races from that spot.

Later footage after Oak Tree was replaced by Thunder Valley: (it's cool to see original Ferrari 250's and Shelby Cobra's dueling)

 

With the Mercedes C63 DTM present in Project Cars 1 and the Audi A4 DTM mod from PCMT, it would be great to have a DTM class in AMS2.

• Trans America current TA2 class, with some more U.S tracks to race them on.
• CTMP (Mosport)
• A proper (modern) touring car series is sorely missing, some nice ideas have been given allready (I'd love the brasilian Marcas or argentinian Turimo nacional, or the Supertouring era. Or ITC/DTM)
• Flesh out the historical GT classes 1995-2005/2010

 

Just want Marcas back. I miss them.

More brazilian stock cars, the Vectra and the 2006 season woulda been awesome

Specially the 2006 season since it was the season that stock cars had the highest amount of manufacturers with Chevy, VW, Mitsubishi and Peugeot

 

Hello, would it take a lot of work to "transform" the 1999 chevrolet Omega BSC into the 1992 Opel Omega DTM? They look a lot alike from the outside, the cockpit would need to be worked on as well as the physics.
And if modders had the good idea to "bring" the Audi V8 DTM and the Ford Sierra from PC2, we would have a very interesting group A.

Audi might arrive later, and about the Opel, give the Idea to the Kaos Modding guys, they did modify one of AMS 2 cars, the Ginetta I believe, so maybe they could do the same to the Opel

 

That's actually a pretty cool idea...

I'd think the physics would be the hard part... It could start out as a Mercedes or BMW Group A clone on the physics side...

To get it to that point would take an hour if everything works out of the box...

Nascar 90's based on PC1's Caper Monterey
Nascar 2000's based on the 1999 Chevrolet Omega (looks a bit like the 2007 Chevrolet Impala Nascar)

Nascar 2010's based on PC2's Ford Fusion
Nascar 2020's based on AMS2's Chevrolet Camaro SS Road and PC2's Ford Mustang GT500

 

80s and 90s are already underway...

Then there's going to be a modern generation that is scratch built... I'm using the whole thing as a physics sandbox to understand oval physics in AMS2 better without the aero that is on the Indycar... So the only one I have complete control over is the 80s version, so that might be the first out for public consumption...
