AMS2 - User Livery Overrides

Where my fellow Czechoslovakians at ? In other words i need a LADA in AMS2.

 

Hi all, I am having troubles with the Classic Gen4 model1 skin of only the Ferrari to appear in AMS2.

I use this XML:
I assure that the files are in the correct folders.

I know I have Ferrari and Scuderia Ferrari. But also with either of them, it does not show up in AMS2. What is my oversight?

All other skins do show up.

 

let's start a petition to bring the 91 helmets model for those mods :
- F Classic Gen 1
- F Classic Gen 2
- F Classic Gen 3
- F V12
- F V10 Gen 1
- F V10 Gen 2

because this helmet template is actually paintable !

 

Not sure, but I think you have too many overrides in one section. I think here the limit only goes as far as 58, yours goes to 62.

 

Could be. But when I used this skinpack on the Gen3, the one before the introduction of Gen4, it showed them all in AMS2.

I will try to change the file to have then only one Lambo and one Ferrari. Or can I go lower than 51?

 

No, you can't go lower than 51, this only allows for 8 liveries at a time (In this particular model). If you go to game properties in Steam, under the General section, you'll be able to add a launch option. type -showLiveryIDs This will show the ID number of the livery you want to change.

 

it starts always with 51 and then ascendig by number of cars.
If there are 8, then it goes from 51 to 58.
Could be, there were more before the change from Gen3 to Gen4, but you'll have to accept the current state, not your memories from earlier days

 

Stock Car Brasil 1999: Nascar Liveries
Work on an expansion with 20 more liveries for the Omega 1999 begins.
First driver is Bobby Labonte.

The 20 cars below are plans so far on what will be added.

 

In Gen4, you have 8 slots for M1, 2 and 3 and two for the Mclaren.

The 91 mod for Gen3 had 10 slots for M1 before the McLarens were brought to the game.

 

Thank you all! I made Ferrari nr 57 and 58 and removed the G4M1 McLaren livery since we already have to official McLaren.

It all works now

Is anybody gonna start work on the new F-classic Gen 3 for year 1990? The old incredible Gen 3 liveries mod Xml file of AFry's F1 1991 mod running on F-C gen4. is being used in the new Gen 4 - and it's for 1991 to go with the mp4-6. So now we need a new livery set for the new Gen 3 for 1990, to go with the mp4-5.

Anyone know?

 

We need ways to set different liveries for each version of the car on the cars with Low DF variant

the Porsche 962 LDF with the skin pack I got look very wrong (+ i know it’s unrelated but plz fix the visual damage for it)

 

You gotta make different liveries, put them into the right folder with different names than the ones for road courses.
Then, create a xml-file for them.

Before starting the game, just copy the needed xml into the folder.

 

This will not be the case for the modded version...

With the WSC 1989 mod they will automatically switch between the 2 versions...

This is why you will see more skinpacks be released in mod form going forwards... Not just because of the more slots you can have but also because the different variants...

As technically you have 2 cars with the low downforce and high downforce versions... In all there's 5 different versions with the short oval, Fontana and Speedway versions that exist in game... The Indycar mod uses 4 of these 5 and there's different liveries for each car type...

So when you go to Long Beach you get the Long Beach liveries and when you got to the Indy speedway you get the Indy 500 set of liveries...

As for 1990, nothing currently available, but F1 1990 is in the works, as is the updated 1991 with helmets, etc. Everything else can be found by clicking on my sig--just keep scrolling down.

 

I have a question regarding speedway vs superspeedway liveries, etc.

As far as I know, there isn't a way to have AMS2 select between different, custom F_USA liveries based on track type. When the default skins are used, the game automatically selects the appropriate aero package, which is wonderful. In contrast, I don't seem to be able to get the sim to do the same with an array of custom skins and/or AI files. If it is possible, even if it requires a unique set of .xml files enabled prior to launching AMS2, how would it be achieved?

Update: Not possible automatically, but with CART 1998 by chrisi 12174 (Update) and cart-2000-by-chrisi-12174-update, it's achievable manually with custom livery files. I have rearranged the files to install easily via AMS2CM, so that a single aero package's livery is activated prior to AMS2 launch.
