Bug Reports - Automobilista 2 (Read the Opening Post)

Today Nordschleife Historic (all layouts) was disappered from Nurburgring layot list.

 

Track & Layout Used: any
Car Used: any car which has rear display in cockpit
Applicable Settings: VR
Report: rear display works as virtural mirrors. its angle changes when head moving.
Steps to reproduce: try VR and move head in cockpit

 

Yea, it solved the problem. But it Nords Historic gone again than i reinstalled the mods. So it's looks like when i install the mods via Content Manager Nords Historic disappears. This is not a big problem, but maybe it can be fixed?

 

Please check you have the latest bootfiles, i think if you have a earlier version, this issue might occur

 

As Roy already mentioned, you might be using old bootfiles. If you are adding your own bootfiles, can you try removing them and use the ones generated by AMS2CM?

1. Make sure that you are using the latest version of AMS2CM (0.1.6 as I write)
2. Empty Mods\Enabled directory
3. Run AMS2CM to uninstall all mods
4. Verify that the Nords Historic is available
5. Add all mods but no bootfiles to Mods\Enabled
6. Run AMS2CM to install mods and generate bootfiles from game

 

Ok, guys, but how to install bootfiles? I put it to mods/enabled/ folder but CM is outputs in the console log that it did not install bootfiles. Looks like mods works without them installed

 

I heard there’s a “content manger” coming to ease the pain. This reminds me of the first Rfactor

Oh ok, but there’s still issues. I really hate mods. From rf1 and Arma3 until they got a system in place that made it soooo much easier.

 

If you want to use your own bootfiles (can't think of a reason for it), the name needs to start with "__bootfiles". If you don't provide them, CM will generate them when necessary. If you see something like this, everything worked and you are good to go:

Installing mods:
- ...
Extracting bootfiles from game
Post-processing:
- Appending crd file entries
- Appending trd file entries
- Appending driveline records

Wrong explanation data for the private qualifying option

F-usa gen2 at barcelona, on the first lap all of the ai crawl to a halt and retire. ai at 104 difficulty and medium aggression.

 

On the RC, when in a private qualifying session, the game still sends data to external apps like crewchief, telling you were the cars are.
also the proximity arrows are briefly shown each time a car "passes" you

 

BUG LIST after v1.4.8 RC

• The helper text of both "Mandatory Tyre Change" and "Private Session" are the same of the previous menu option: it doesn't reflect what the actual option is.
• The gamepad/wheel d-pad navigation skips Private Session.
• Barcelona Pit-Lane Entry has collision enabled, meaning the AI will smack your rear if you're not cautious.

 

BTW, I loved the F-USA 2023 Rea Passenger Cam. It's a T-Cam that looks to the apex like the helmet cams.

 

The F-USA 2023 doesnt show a change in tyre sidewall colour when switching from option to primary tyre
