The grid is sorted, 9 Nissans, 6 Volvos, 4 Mercedes and a lot of Holden vs Ford...

Maybe never... As I don't know what their rules are like on vanilla mods and they've been having issues with downloads... I do enough customer service with the Indycar mod on that front...

I might make it available via the TAMS2SP discord and anywhere else that will host a link of it this week if I don't find any issues in my testing of the mod itself...

Maybe I should’ve clarified by saying I meant RD=release date and not RaceDepartement. Cool that it will release this week

Unlike Group C 1989 and RTCC this is simply a skin and sound mod...

I may toy with the default settings down the line, but I want to see what 1.5 does to these cars before touching anything on the physics side...

    you cannot remove binary files.
You can just give modders the tools to create/compile this files from text source.

So this mod will have noticable differences in performance per car? That's fantastic. I'm eager to start a season in a slow backmarker and drive my a** off trying to get in the top 10.

Another backmarker is ready for the 1990 grid
    [IMG]

And here's some results from the 100 AI skill test... Some of the back markers are still too fast, but poor Bruno is almost in the zone...

    Hi Scar666, just one question:
Do these last photos tell us that the Group C mod is finished?
Or are you working on different mods?
Can't wait to try group C.
Thanks for what you do :)

Are these skins or car models?

Group C requires a lot of physics testing... And time to refine it all... Without the translations for how the AI attacks the corners you can't just tweak something to go faster or slower and then watch the AI alone... You have to go out on try them on the player side physics as well... The C9 is currently slower in the AI's hands than the Jaguar but in the players hands it's got at least a second on them...

And a good spoonful of motivation to finish off the Porsche skins with their need for doubles on a completely different template... I picked 1989 as the year because there was the least amount of Porsches in a suitable year for the C9 to exist... But there's still 36 Porsche skins in the mod total...

I typically go with what I've got inspiration for at the time or a pressing need to finish to help out other projects... Like the 1990 skinpack and it's backmarker add on or the Indycar project...

I might be open to a testing release soon for extra feedback once I've got the physics into a place where I'm at least happy with it...

Models are Reiza, physics mostly Reiza with some numbers changed by me so it drives like the real thing and then skins to complete the look... Will be an add on for the 1990 skin pack so the full field can be represented...

First of all thank you for your contribution to AMS2 and for the quick reply.
From the way you talk it is clear that you put a lot of effort into modding and this is a great help for the whole community of enthusiasts.
We can only wait when you are satisfied with the physics to test these wonderful cars of that wonderful era.
    Thank you!
    :)

Not as much of a difference as a new model would make...

But a new logo on the inside of the tub and a new taco make a nice difference...

It would be good if steering wheels can be modded so there is a point of difference between the series with only 1 or 2 models

Believe they can with custom models, but no idea if it’s possible with Reiza models

They can but I'm not a modeller...

The Indycar mod has team specific steering wheels...

That's interesting, would be neat if some skilled modders would have a crack at this at some stage.
