A2, via Steam, keeps updating the game while I am racing and it really affects game-play! I don't see anything is A2 to address this issue. In STEAM, I've gone into SETTINGS and changed the settings for Downloading to ONLY download between 9am - 2 PM - and NO other times - NO Background downloading so it doesn't interfere with my late-night racing. BUT it continues to UPDATE during the game and it's getting SO Frustrating!!!! Anyone know how to prevent this - in A2 or Steam?
You can set any game or software in Steam to only update when you launch it by right clicking and to never download in the background for this specific software -> Properties -> Updates: Maybe that helps.
Are you sure these are data file/version updates? Check on the next occurence and see if you can spot a info button. It will probably say it's for workshop content, which simply means it's your online rating file being backed up.
Looks like this: If it's like this, it happens after you close the game and therefore it won't affect your racing/gameplay.
