even with the issues the tracks are fun, drove some cars there until I ran out of gas or hit the wall lmao I love Sonoma

Sonoma felt great on the ffb, I really hope reiza modders more tools both for cars and tracks cuz the mods we currently have are amazing, however there are tiny little issues and bugs that can mess things up, and it’s not you guys fault

Ok guys after sleeping over it for a night I want to apologize if I came across as a ****. I didn't mean to badmouth or belittle the work of the modders, on the contrary I am very grateful that they exist and that it is possible for AMS2. Keep going! Things take time and modding for this sim is in its infancy. Have a nice one.

From what I’ve heard, the big issues with the track mods are the tools which aren’t available and the track scans

Probably, but IMO it is unclear if track mods will be supported by AMS2

Well, yesterday I downloaded the Sugo track from Pcars2 and it is awesome. Loved that track in PC2 and now I can race it in AMS2. Wonderfull.

Any chance of one of you great modders taking on Mugello or Sakkito?

I would love the version of Sakitto that doesn't have the chicane after 130r and turns left just after you go under the bridge.

    I can dream. Thanks!

May I ask what that means, but track mods will still work apparently

I mean Reiza is starting 'supporting' cars mod, but still no words about tracks, and it's not allowed to post here 'modded' tracks links (from pc2)... but of course modded tracks are still working and we hope in a future 'support' about troubles on pit exit or penalties on imported tracks.....:whistle::whistle:

of course not for 'me', i'm not a modder ( :( ) , but for modders, ( i read some criticism
days ago about imported tracks) and I would like the hard work to be recognized for what it is, even if with some small hitches that still exist.

I think the big problem is that the tracks are all conversions, meanwhile many car mods are scratch-made. I wouldn't expect very much support in that area until scratch made tracks are possible (which I don't think will be the case for a while).

Without the tools and documentation on how to make a conversion there's no chance of a scratch made track... As you are still converting it from what's in the 3D building software to AMS2 and setting up the files for it to work...

The reasons the current ports have their issues are more to do with the changes made between pCARS 2 and AMS2 as well as the lack of information of how to fix certain issues...

Once that documentation is out there will be a lot of interest just because of how good AMS2 can look and track builders will want to showcase their talents..

    ...Improved Modding Support
"It used to be really cumbersome as the engine was not really designed for modding. We are working on lifting some restrictions and limitations. The most important one was that you don’t have to install everything again with every update nor mess with bootfiles as there are dedicated user vehicle lists and driveline records – that’s already taken care of for 1.5, with some more resources planned for making car modding easier. Unfortunately for tracks we don’t foresee support being possible anytime soon.” - RS

Considering how many aspects of these tracks are dynamic and require proprietary tooling (or so I'd imagine) it's understandable that it won't be possible for a while, though I do hope that changes eventually. I'm excited for what Reiza have planned for car modding resources. At least hoping we see some sort of car template to work from, and even more hopeful, a proper way to set up car physics without translating hex files.
