Automobilista Beta (content file locked) Help

Hey everyone,

Has anyone had an issue with the Automobilista Beta constantly locking them out with a content file lock? It seems every time I exit AMS Beta and then try to reopen it there is a little 5mb download that is prompted, but unable to complete because the content file lock error occurs.

If I do a Command Prompt "netsh winsock reset" and restart my PC AMS Beta will open successfully, but if I exit the game and try to open it again I just get the same error. Not sure what is causing this, but it is really annoying :/. This issue also was not present until about a month ago.

My PC specs are

Ryzen 1700 @3.6ghz
16gbs of DDR4 ram @2400mhz
250gb Samsung SSD (OS)
480gb SanDisk SSD (Contains AMS Beta among other games)
1tb Western Blue HDD (Contains some older games and my video recordings)
Gigabyte GTX 1070 Windforce OC
600 watt Rosewill PSU

Any help on fixing this issue is much appreciated!!!

 

Do you have any anti virus installed?
If I'm not mistaken, this blocked content seem to happen when steam can't access the AMS executable due to the anti virus software thinking it's a virus.

If you have, try to add the game folder to the ignore list of it.

 

I have Avast so maybe that is it. I will look into that. Thanks for the reply!

Edit: Avast was blocking it. Was able to get that fixed. Thanks for the help!
