Automobilista 2 Mods!!!

Hello,
My mods are almost ready for AMS2 Version 1.5.
I'm now waiting for the Release Candidate version or the final version to finalize them.
GT3 physics have been updated to 1.5 standard, and all cars get the new tires

Among the novelties, there is the arrival of 4 GT3 and a RX Car
3 fictitious :

- The Dodge Viper ACR GT3
- The Toyota Supra GR GT3
- The Jaguar F-Type GT3

2 new conversions from pcars 2 :

- The cadillac ATS VR GT3
- The Renault Megane RX

Amazing! Is there a way to do the driver suit overrides for mods as you can with the cars in game?

 

You can check this yourself by looking in the crd files... Look for the prop name

Apologies if it's a silly question....

 

Not a silly question at all... It's the best way to learn

It's similar to a livery override change but involves checking the text side of a hex file... First you have to add 2 lines to the crd file, one for the top half and one for the bottom...

And then make sure the pointer in the bottom lines up with the driver the mod uses which is inside the vdp file which is a hex file and you'll have to scroll down a bit to find the driver override information... Get that wrong and you'll end up with no drivers...

Probably best to check a few mods to see which cars crd files have what drivers to know what pointer lines you are looking for in the vdp file...

Why does it take so long to fill up the gas and change tires during pitstop? Is this something you can fix on your end? Speaking of Toyota GT One and BMX V12

Just took these for a spin - VERY nice!

 

Haha what the fudge!! Thunderflash gt3 mod package has a Ferrari 488 in it and it drives AMAZING, it drives better than any stock car in AMS2. I cant belive the quality of some of these mods, amazing.

 

Since I installed AMS2CM GUI the mods are awsome. The GT3 cars, like a Aston Martin DB9, Maserati, Bentley Continental drive as good as the original GT3 cars it seems. ATM I'm driving the Z4 in a championship (mixed with the originial GT3 cars). This way it spreads the cars a bit more.
The tracks work better as well. Although there is still a crash at the start of the first layout of Sonoma.

I updated my mods to 3.6

News V3.6 :
- Add Pack RX (Megane RX, Civic GRC, Audi S1 EKS, Mercedes A45 RX, Focus GRC)
- Re referencing the XLASTID value of all mods
- Fixed fuel consumption for Group C, GT1, and GTE cars

 

I need to try his mods again. I tried about 5 or 6 individually a couple of weeks ago and each one of them crashed the game somehow. Some would just cause the game to freeze at the Reiza Studios logo screen while others wouldn't even get that far. I would get the popup that the game has crashed. I had to go in and delete the files from the PC, run CM again, then run the steam integrity check to get the game unlocked again.

I have downloaded 4 skin mods that installed with no issues but I'm afraid to try any further car mods until I can figure out what's causing the problem. I haven't tried any track mods either.

 

You don't risk anything by trying, steam integrity check will always fix any issues.. heck, you can even delete the whole folder, and re download, all settings are saved in documents folder.

 

Yeah I've got to be more trusting or I guess more confident in what I'm doing. Only a month into the whole world of PC gaming and I've still got the "oh no what just happened?" panic mode.

 

How did you install? With the content manager? If so, be sure to use the very recent version, because older ones are known to let the game crash when starting...
