Strange, is it only AMS2 that's giving you issues I assume? No hardware fault whatsoever? Firewall? Antivirus? Does the game even starts or crashes after loading?
I've tried reinstalling the Steamworshop stuff, but not steam completely, although I doubt it's that as nothing else is effected and the game attempts to load... And how do I clear the steam download cache? Firewall and antivirus get turned off before I run AMS2 as it effects online smoothness... Game gets to the Reiza logo 50% of the time before crashing to a buglspat... The only issue I've had in anything else this week was a game minimise to the desktop... Otherwise everything has run smoothly...
Hmm, there is one other thing you could try. Steam, settings, storage and there is three dots in the right (hover over it and it says settings), then click that and choose repair folder. There is an appcache deletion thing too but I don't know if that helps.
Sadly the few things I hadn't tried so far haven't helped... I'm just going to have to wait for a patch that helps me I guess...
Maybe the problem are the mods you have installed and the way they are installed ? I tried to reinstall mods after patch 1.5 with the old Content Manager but AMS2 wont load at all. Freeze on the logo screen. Once I've downloaded the new content manager, the 2.1, all the mods works like a beauty.
Sadly that patch seems to have made things worse as I don't even get past the Reiza logo... As a modder I found CM too cumbersome to use as I had to have everything in a rar file... Hasn't been on my machine for weeks... In both install attempts I had zero AI files, skins or mods installed...
Very strange issue… I’ve started the game a couple of times today without problems, with mods. I know that doesn’t help you, but it seems it some kind of isolated issue on some PC configurations rather than a general game issue. Have you tried reverting to the previous game version to se if that makes a difference?
before to use the Content Manager we need to DL the .NET 6 Desktop Runtime Do you have installed? Just for ask. I've found it's very important to Content Manager to work properly: I used the "old system" to apply mods: JSGME and copy and paste some text strings in the files Once I used Content Manager I find this very fast, simple and easy to use.
Try steam game lauch options. Setting resolution (example here: -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080) and refresh rate (another example: -refresh 60) in there. Put what you use and start game up. Also try put fullscreen or borderless window mode in there too. Don't know if those work or anything. This is the only game you have this problem? @Scar666
I think @Scar666, as a modder, has already tried 'the reasonable'... maybe trying install on another pc? Already tried?

Well I think the old way of getting boot files was causing AMS2 1.5 to not launch for me and AMS2CM had to be updated to get the boot files a new way with a different file. Once that was updated I was able to boot AMS2 1.5 with mods. No idea if that's the case or not. Maybe give AMS2CM just a try and see if it works?
