I am new to AMS2 and I am struggling to get the car sounds to my liking. When I am in cockpit view, the engine sounds really muffled. It's to the point on some cars where I can't hear the engine to tell when to shift. The outside wind volume is also really loud. I know I can turn that part down but is anyone else struggling with this?

I have checked and made sure that my Windows settings are at 2.1 as well as my Realtek Audio Control panel.

    Welcome!

There are a lot of sliders in the Audio settings under Options -> Audio, have you had a look at those? Maybe you can adjust something there.

Yeah, I have fiddled with all of them. I basically have to turn all sounds but engines down low and turn master volume super high.

Hi like you I am even newer to ams 2 I just got it a day or so ago. I am having exactly the same sound issues in gt cars and touring cars the engine sounds are fine but in most open wheelers my engine sound is so muffled and easily drowned out by the external sounds. Is there any recommended settings anywhere?

When others have had similiar issues it often helps to check that there is no Windows special settings enabled.

Also I have read somewhere here it might have to do with changing the camera from "Helmet" to "Cockpit". If you're in helmet cam the sound is muffled. Worth a try.
