One thing I've noticed in AMS2 about the cars that use tyre blankets - when you drive out of the pits the tyres are fully green, showing optimal temperature, but in real life the tyre blankets only heat the tyres up to about 70-75% of optimal temperature. I'd like to see this addressed so that when the cars exit the pits, the tyres are almost green but not fully up to optimal temperature. Your thoughts?
It's the same for the race starts... But this is also where we need to make sure we are clear on what those numbers represent... Inner heat of the tyres gasses, which would be the 70-75% optimal, the tyre carcass, or the tread temp which would obviously be closer to the expected temp on track... EDIT: The following was for me thinking it was for AMS2... I'm not sure if that has changed in the HUD so I don't want to steer you in either direction... They did change how the tread was represented as you could find more tread depth and grip past black before...
I've found this to be true of all the cars that use tyre blankets. I could be wrong, but I'm not aware of any real life race cars where the tyre blankets heat up the tyres to optimal temps. I know for certain that F1 tyre blankets don't.
