Is there a detailed guide explaining each setting of the performance menu?

I am configuring the game to run 60fps when racing and when watching the replay. The thing is that when trying to watch the replay the framerate drops heavily mainly in rain. I would like to know which settings are the most power hungry to set them up according to my hardware. At the moment I saw that MSAA takes a lot of power and also particle density. My CPU is good enough and my graphic card is a nvidia 1060. Any advice?

 

I think you might need to change the particle density (I’m not sure), but that might be a good thing to add to the wiki

Thanks for mentioning / linking this. Was always struggling with FPS in VR with rain. Reducing the particle settings, both to low, gave me at least 10% performance increase. Suddenly it seems possible to use the random weather in VR thanks again! And of course also gratitude for the author of the post at reddit, who rebooted AMS2 probably around 100 times .
