    Hi folks, trying to find the answer to this and have gone thru alot of whats here but I dont see a definitive answer or have missed it.

    I have setup a dedi server and it is running but I am not sure where I stand with the content on the server.

    I know that if you host a server from within the game then anyone can race on that track with or without the dlc as long as it is owned by the host.

    How does this work when hosting from a dedi server machine? Does each driver have to own all the dlc on the server to race or is the dedi server pulling the info from somewhere on steam?

    I want to automate the server to start and run 12 hours per day (launching from DedicatedServerCmd.exe) so would like to be able to have a number of track rotations and not have to launch the game itself so others can join.

    Thanks in advance

    Denny

    Well, the server/session starts when someone joins it, if you set dlc on the server, the person that joins first needs to own the content

    Hello everyone, I've read a lot of messages on this section but I can't find a certain answer.
    I want to launch a dedicated server, and include several car classes and several circuits can we do it from the server.cfg file and if so would you have an example file to send me?
    I hope I have been clear enough because I currently manage to launch my server online but only with a class of vehicle and a circuit...and I don't know if I can do it directly from the server.cfg or by another file to configure.
    Thank you for your help.

    i believe that you can setup a track rotation using a LUA script, but i never tried that myself as we use just one car and track for our league events in a week

    There is a file called "sms_rotate_default_config.json" that you can modify to change tracks and vehicles on a rotation schedule I believe. In order to use it, you have to include the "sms_rotate.json" library in the server.cfg file.
    Good lucking finding any documentation on it since the PCars2 forums are now shut down.
    Perhaps someone on this thread can give you more tips as there are more experienced PCars2/AMS2 server admins than myself.

    Thank you for your answers I will continue to search, maybe an administrator could show me a file already configured so that I can do my tests.

    This an old 2 race sms rotate config of mine. Rename to sms_rotate_config and place in your Server folder/ Lua_Config folder. You can work from it to change classes/track etc. Can even add more races if you want.

    I've wasted most of this afternoon trying to get various examples of sms_rotate_config.JSON to work - and this one suffers the same problem.

    When I fire up the dedi, the last message I get is :"Rotation setups contain errors, rotation addon disabled"

    I've tried slimming the file right down so that there are no overrides beyond the track/car/class in the rotation section - nothing works and there appears to be no useful logging.

    Is anyone successfully using the rotations?

    We use them regularly. The one redvaliant provided is one of them and that one works on my test dedi server too. Can you paste the entire log you get here so we can see what else is getting reported to see if it gives a hint to what is wrong?

    Hi!
    I am starting my adventure with AMS2
    Is there AMS2 Dedi Server for Linux, as I already have homelab setup, so I could host server for me and my friends. If no, are there plans to have one?

    Looking at your cfg file you only specified the date/time for the race, and not for practice or qually.

    You need to add these in order to specify time for practice and qually

    "PracticeDateHour":11,
    "QualifyDateHour" : 10,
