Hi! I have established a quite ok setup for Formula USA Gen 1 on Daytona Tri-oval (Top 10 in Time Attack) and now I'm trying to run a race versus AI on this very track. Even if I set the strength of the AI to 120, I am 2 seconds faster each lap (no matter if quali or race). It even seems there is no difference between 120 and 100 regarding AI strength. What am I doing wrong? Could this be affected by a custom AI file (I am running v0.6 of the Custom AI by jusk)? In short: how to make the AI a LOT faster on ovals? Any thoughts welcome! As far as I can tell, this bug does not exist for Gateway Oval... AI gets faster there if you increase AI strength.
I must say im loving the oval stuff, the fact I can now get a great race with the A.I. at Indy at 100% skill with F-USA Gen3 cars is great! I used to not bother with A.I. racing with F-USA at ovals, as at Daytona, even at 120% skill, they were far too slow, and easy to keep behind you, now, much faster and even if you try and weeve about and keep slipstreamers behind you, they duck dive and weeve to get past, its incredible! They're still not too good and far to slow at Fontana, but much better at all other ovals! And now you say they're gunna get even better again? Great stuff!!!
