Why is triple without surround almost impossible?

Been struggling every time I have tried to setup triples WITHOUT nvidia surround. Every time = 6-8 times in 2.5 years. Nvidia surround is simple and easy to setup....but looks terrible because of distortion.

I have watched all the vids on YT that show how to setup without surround, every time I get stuck at a spot where the instructions do not give enough detail to make a proper setting change, or they gloss over parts to explain things and render the whole tutorial not work out for me.

    3 - 1920x1080p 27 inch 144hz monitors @ 52 degrees.

So this is where I am at with no surround.

Here are my triple screen settings in game.....both wings are the same.

Not sure where to go now......or why this is so freaking hard. No wonder why people just default to surround......lol

I would really appreciate any help to get this sorted out .....if possible.

I bought a 34" uw monitor and replaced my middle 27" monitor with it and tried AMS2 without surround. Its the only sim that i can run in triples with the mix of 27-34-27 monitors. This is without surround so it does work without it in AMS2.
When i get back to my PC i can help you more, i just added this comment so you know it does work without surround and not to give up.

Thanks, I know it is possible from others as I have seen. I usually only play in VR but have needs to use triples in ams2. Good to know that it works with diff size monitors.....I would luv to have a 34 and 2 27 wings.

For some reason the XML file don't reflect what the video config shows.
Some measures seems to be in millimeters where it is expected to be in centimeters and also are very different from the originals.
I know it's a weird thing since the screen config apparently is ok (maybe a non-english standard keyboard layout? don't know, really).
Anyway you must edit the XML file and introduce the correct values where needed. I use Notepad++ but any text editor with XML with a proper save extension can do it.

Having this setup is very cool in AMS2 but I haven't got it working in other sims. They dont let me account for different resolutions or screen widths, the centre is 3440x1440 and the sides are 1080p and still AMS2 works. Nvidia surround doesn't work at all with different resolutions and other sims just don't like the 1440 and 1080 vertical differences.

I play in VR and got the 34" uw for single player games but wanted to try it set as triples. It is cool but still VR is king for me.

FYI - I had triples and never felt the benefits... More expensive, 10K or 12K Resolution slows things down, more complex, not every game supports it, etc...

I switched to an LG Super-Ultrawide Huge curve 1000, HDR, 5120x1440 at 140fps, and never looked back, never missed the triples. The FOV is plenty. Plus,I can now mount this monster on my motion rig close the wheel and my face like it's supposed to get wide FOV.

I personally also use surround, so this is a shot in the dark, but maybe it's an issue with the FOV in the camera settings? Your triple settings look fine, no obvious error - although you may need to play around with the Bezel and Vertical Offset values a bit in the end to make the screens line up.

So your telling me to buy a SUW? lol

I have VR as well....so that wont be needed at all....and I use my triples for other sims/games that do not have native VR.

Yea I really do not understand why the render on my array is so messed up. I will see if the VO has anything to do with it. Bezel settings did not change anything though.

    Thanks for your tip!

Maybe you're right though it still feel strange to me, fact is your screen data don't match the xml file.

Yes you are correct, changed things a couple times since that initial post. My xml is the same as the in game settings, still same distorted render.

I went back and tried surround again....that is messed up too.
I think I have an issue somewhere else. I think I'm just going to reinstall now.

If you're going to reinstall driver I strongly suggest DDU Uninstaller

I was not going to reinstall video card drivers, just the game. I have no problems using surround or native triples in other games.....just ams2 for some reason.

Make sure you don’t have non standard sharpening values in xml file . If you have adjusted the sharpening you will get these stretched lines .

Since we´re taking about triples, anyone else having the replays stretched on the side monitor? When racing the image is fine on all three screens, but not during replays.
And to add some on-topic: I followed the video linked a couple of posts above, and I am not using Nvidia surround. When racing screens are well aligned with no artifacts.
