Is ams2 on the ISI engine?

I was under the impression that ams2 was on the madness engine but only for the graphical portion.

 

AFAIK, it is on the madness engine, but some things are still using the ISI motor.

Would be interresting to know what actual racing sims are NOT based on the pMotor engine. Would guess NONE. I know Kunos has programmed its own engine for AC, but physics too completely?

None of the Papyrus sims has anything to do with ANY pMotor version.
Thats one of the reasons that the iRacing sim feels and act quite different than anything related to the ISI camp

 

What are papyrus sims?

 

They were some of the first awesome racing sims.....early 90's into the 2000's. Nascar3 was their best game/sim. Things changed and the head of it all... went to work with iracing.

 

Ahh I guess you mean Papyrus latest and final sim - the NR2003.

My opinion, this was / is the most complete sim in all ways (except rain)
So many things, like weather, other cars around , air temperature,.... have an effect on car.
Pace car laps, perfect. Formation lap, perfect. Doubble file restarts, perfect. Spotter, perfect.
Was there anything bad? I don't know. Just, too much ovals, too less road tracks

 

Eventhough its an old sim today I hope you have tested the famous GTP mod for NR2003.
I still have it on my PC and start it up from time to time to get a deja vue feeling of how cars handled and sounded before both the world and the sim world went havock

 

Where can I get this game and mod?

My guess is that if they add bikes they have to change the name of the game from Automobilista to Motociclista. Maybe instead of a bike DLC they'll make a separate game and call it Motociclista.
