The F1 1990 mod (for F-Classic Gen 3) is coming soon! This will include a complete set of car skins, helmets, race suits, menu previews and custom AI.




This will be the first release under a new banner - IMMERSION Modding Group. This is a new name for the loose collective of collaborators behind many skinpacks and mods focused on creating a more immersive experience, including F1 1967, F1 1969, F1 1974, F1 1978, F1 1985, F1 1988, F1 1991, F1 1995, CART 1995, F1 1997, F1 2000, F1 2012 and IndyCar 2023 (with KAOS Modding Team).


The 1990 pack is by @Klukkluk, @Scar666, @Alain Fry, @iksmean, @jusk and @hossyOsaka, with graphics & images by @Brainbug and feedback/testing from the rest of the group.

We also have plans beyond the initial release to expand the grid with a ‘backmarkers mod’ to add all the other teams and drivers that featured in the 1990 season at the height of the pre-qualifying era. More on that… soon?

This looks amazing, Wow, cannot wait, would be nice if Reiza released an 89/90 Ferrari model, since it was so distinct, but atleast we have the McLaren MP4/5, 4/5B

 

Reiza! Please give these guys the freedom to override the pit crew liveries! Then the immersion will be even better!!!!

 

Amazing mod, really appreciate all the efforts. Is there a reason why Dallara has been omitted ?

 

We only have 26 car 'slots' to work with from Reiza, so some decisions had to be made. Dallara should be on the grid on pace clearly, but it was a case of trying to match teams to best suit the model shapes, engines, etc. We plan to add the rest of the field at some point as an addon mod. Here's a preview of a WIP Dallara by Scar666:

Well the Audis are already out, those are Thunderflash conversions from PCars2.
The Omega is the one I've been working on to mimic the DTM one, almost finish waiting for the patch to see what are the changes.
To lower the expectations a bit I haven't touch the interior or sounds and the engine is basically the same too, the car is just heavier and with group A tires.

I would probably choose Model 4 for Dallara and the williams based for the Brabham, due to the shape of the cars. But that's just personal taste

The upcomming „IMMERSION“ update for the F1 2000 season will be a huge one. All car liveries got reworked to HD resolution and like you see in the pictures nice metallic materials have also been created. As an „special“ two new car-paintings will join the field to fill the 24 slots.​

Besides new ingame car preview pictures for all teams we are working on finalising the full set of helmets, suits and gloves for all drivers, while also bringing a new version of the ai-driver-file to simulate the F1 2000 season as close as possible. Stay tuned, this all comming soon to you.

Can you switch TC off for AIs too? Never tried.

 

Nice! I remember playing EA F1 2000 on both the PS1 and PS2. The mechanical failures in the PS2 version were quite realistic, you could lose gears and the brakes as well, if my memory doesn't fail me.

Gave the PS2 version a try not too long and it handles like @ss . But I really had no other choice back then.
