    Just checking we are talking about the same thing here as you mentioned 'cliff house environment'. I was meaning the physical environment you are using your headset in, probably seated in your rig, and clearing via the following option:

    [IMG]
    Then setting it up as seated after that.

    Apologies if this is also what you meant!

    Yeah I was doing that, also you know how you have the Steam VR house and the WMR house, I had it so I never saw the WMR house and after I enabled that again it worked correctly.
    Thanks for your time helping me. Take care mate.

    Hi AMS1 VR brainstrust
    I have the VR mod working really well apart from 1 issue
    Rift S
    I7 12600 64G 4070TI
    I can enter races, practice etc, exit session/ game ok, use any settings in AMS config, however if in a qual session and press escape and then rejoin qualify, or any practice session for that matter, random objects like fences and stands and steeringwheel flick on and off, usually only when you look away from them. Once you progress to next session it resets and flashing stops. Its a bit weird. Its only a problem if online racing when messing with setups in practice and qualifying.
    Race is ok as when escape is pressed you cant rejoin..
    Any solutions?

    Try this:
    Open CrewChiefVR.ini
    Change useHMDFoV = 1 to useHMDFoV = 0
    Set your FOV in AMS to 90 or more

    Thanks Martin,
    Tried that setting, however made objects flashing prior to escape to pits
    Reverted back

    The link seems to be dead for me. Right click / Save As, gives me a 1kb file which I can't open. Left click goes to a Not Found page. Does anybody have a working link?

    So, I tried it (Valve Index) and I have one issue which makes the sim unplayable, and I haven't find any solution. When I am in the cockpit, screen flashes black, feels like every second frame is just black. Menus are OK.
    Anyone had this too, please?

    If you are using an AMD CPU with integrated AMD Graphics be sure to turn them off in the motherboard bios to prevent flashing in the head set.

    i9 13900KF, RTX4090 (so no onboard GPU), and FOV was set to 90 too. Will try to fresh install and stay vanilla + VR plugin for tests. I installed mods straight away and was welcomed with tons of error messages and without UI elements after that. File verification solved it, but even when I replaced CC plugin again after that. still have the black flashing issue.

    After the latest Steam VR update, I can no longer launch AMS.
    When I launch it, it says "Now exiting".

    Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
    Any possible fix?

    AMS 1 is my main sim, so I'm kinda desperate here, any help would be appreciated!

    I just tried running AMS1 and it's working fine here.

    This is my CrewChiefVR.ini file if you want to copy it:
    Code:
    ; Crew Chief Plugin Version: 1.0.2.0

    [CONFIG]
    ; Debug/diagnostics only settings.
    debugOutputLevel = 255
    debugOutputSource = 32767

    ; Enable features not originally exposed via ISI internals model. Currently only Steam AMS.exe is supported.
    enableUnofficialFeatures = 1

    ; Enables SteamVR rendering.
    ; IMPORTANT: Make sure to re-run AMSConfig.exe every time you change this value.
    ;
    ; Requires enableUnofficialFeatures set to 1.
    enableSteamVRRendering = 1

    ; Sets distance to the menu/non-cockpit canmera overlay. Higher value moves
    ; overlay further, lower moves it closer.
    ;
    ; Requires enableUnofficialFeatures and enableSteamVRRendering set to 1.
    menuOverlayDistance = 2.500000

    ; Sets curvature of the menu/non-cockpit canmera overlay. Higher value makes
    ; overlay more curved, lower makes it less curved.
    ;
    ; Requires enableUnofficialFeatures and enableSteamVRRendering set to 1.
    menuOverlayCurvature = 0.100000

    ; Virtual key code to use for resetting the center. Default is VK_NUMPAD5
    ;
    ; Requires enableUnofficialFeatures and enableSteamVRRendering set to 1.
    recenterHMDVirtualKey = 0x20

    ; Display HUD as overlay in VR
    ;
    ; Requires enableUnofficialFeatures and enableSteamVRRendering set to 1.
    showHudAsOverlayInVR = 1

    ; Override FoV from game with FoV reported by SteamVR
    useHMDFoV = 0

    Note, I remapped the center VR view to spacebar.

    Also try running the graphics configuration tool for AMS to make sure everything is correct there.

    Thanks for the suggestions mate, at least I know it's on my end.
    I've rolled down to Beta Steam VR and it started working again.
    For how long, we're yet to see..

    Is there any way to disable Steam VR updates?

    It's treated like any other Steam game, I think. So right click on it in Steam, go to properties, then set your update preferences there.

    Do any of you guys have microstuttering when exiting pits or when AI cars go past you?
    I wouldn't even call it stuttering, the FPS remains stable, it looks like something related to the engine itself. Like the cars just shake on themselves.
    I've always had it, now it became even worse.
