Does anyone else have an issue with extremely high tyre wear in single races? In the gameplay settings tyre wear is set to authentic but i can only go half a lap before the tyres are completely worn out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you locking up your tires? That will cause it in my experience.

Not but every time I do lock up tyre wear goes down by over 25%. Its almsot as if im doing a tyres last one lap challenge

If you lock up your tires then you are getting flatspots and that will eat tires away. Brake more gently and balance with brake pressure.

Ye but it shouldn't be as bad as it is. One single small lockup remove 25-30% of the tyre life. Meaning 3 or 4 small lockups and the tyres are 100% worn which is unrealistic

I managed to get it under control. Just needed to be a bit gentler on the brakes and bring the brake bias closer to the front of the car

Good to hear, keep in mind you can decrease break pressure too to ensure a better breaking consistency.

Lockups don't necesarily decrease 25% of the tyre life.
A lockup in ams2 eats away a chunk of the tyre, and then that tyre becomes squared in that position. The ams2 HUD controls tyre life by controling the lowest amount of rubber that you have. So if you lockup, because you eat away a big portion of the tyre, the hud shows that the amount of rubber left in the tyre, lets say it's 80% for example, but that 80% only applies to the part of the tyre where the flatspot is, the rest of the tyre is still fine, more or less.

To put it simply, a tyre with half it's life indicated but 0 flatspots is not equal to a tyre with half its life indicated but one big flatspot.

Weird to explain but yeah, be careful with the brakes

So far there's no visual damage, you're not doing anything wrong
