I've put together a list of the tracks used in the years (I believe) are represented by the classic F1 cars. I'm only counting up to 2001 as 'historic'. I've marked tracks that have matching historic versions for a given year in blue.

Where historical variants that are basically the same, i.e. the length must be identical (but things like run-off, sponsors, pit buildings and grandstand's etc may be different, some more than others) I've coloured them blue* but added an asterisk with the historic version year it most resembles.

Where the track is in game but has no appropriate historic version the text is in black.

Circuits not yet in game are marked in red and I've put the number of matching years they're used in brackets (they're in the minority so good going so far!)

This website is great resource for seeing where/when tracks were altered over the years: Home

The following would be the historical version of tracks already in game I think would would be cool. I've bolded some years just so that each year has a good number but ideally every year covered above could get it's own version as sponsors changed a lot during the 60's/70's/80/90's plus runoff designs etc:

    Nurburgring (1967-70 layout) 1967/1969

    Spa (1995-2000 layout) 1995/1997
    Spa (2001 layout) 2001
    Monaco (1955-71 layout) 1967/1969
    Monaco (1973-75 layout) 1974
    Monaco (1976-85 layout) 1978/1983
    Monaco (1986-96 layout) 1986/1988/1990/1991/1992/1993/1995
    Monaco (1997-2002 layout) 1997/2001
    Imola (1981-84 layout) 1983
    Watkins Glen (1956-70 layout) 1967/1969
    Watkins Glen (1971-83 layout with chicane/without) 1974/1978

    Montreal (1978 layout) 1978
    Montreal (1979-86 layout) 1983/1986
    Montreal (1994-95 layout) 1995
    Montreal (1996-2001 layout) 1997/2001
    Monza (1974-75 layout) 1974
    Monza (1976-78 layout) 1978
    Monza (1995-99 layout) 1995/1997
    Monza (2000-09 layout) 2001
    Brands Hatch (1960-75 layout) 1969
    Brands Hatch (1976-87 layout) 1978/1983/1986
    Jerez (1994-03 layout) 1997
    Estoril (1994-99 layout) 1995
    Suzuka (1987-90 layout) 1988/1990
    Suzuka (1991-99 layout) 1991/1992/1993/1995/1997
    Suzuka (2001-02 layout) 2001
    Silverstone (1987-90 layout) 1988/1990
    Silverstone (1994-95 layout) 1995
    Spielberg (1996-2004 layout) 1997/2001
    Interlagos (1996-98 layout) 1997
    Interlagos (1999-2010 layout) 2001
Buenos Aires (No. 15 layout) 1974/1978
Buenos Aires (No. 6 layout) 1995/1997
    Barcelona (1995-03 layout) 1995/1997/2001
Indianapolis Road Course (2000-2007 layout) 2001
    Kyalami (1992-93 layout) 1992/1993
    Donington Park (1986-2009 layout) 1993
    Hockenheim (1992-93 layout) 1992/1993
Le Mans Bugatti (1965-67 layout) 1967

These are the tracks used in years represented but not yet in game:

    Zandvoort (1967/1969/1974/1978/1983)
    Mosport (1967/1974)
    Mexico City (1967/1969/1986/1988/1990/1991/1992)

    Hungaroring (1986/1988/1990/1991/1992/1993/1995/1997/2001)
    Phoenix (1990/1991)
    Magny-Cours (1991/1992/1993/1995/1997/2001)
    Melbourne (1997/2001)
    Jarama (1974/1978)
    Nivelles-Baulers (1974)
    Dijon Prenois (1974)
    Anderstorp (1974/1978)
    Zolder (1978)
    Aida (1995)
    Sepang (2001)

I would add the following circuits even though their exact years might not be represented. There are F1 cars in game that roughly cover when they were used:

    Reimes (1966)
    Rouen-Les-Essarts (1968)
    Mont-Tremblant (1968/1970)
    Caesars Palace (1981)
    Dallas (1984)

I guess the tracks most in most urgent need of historic versions are:

    Monaco (1986-96 layout)
    Suzuka (1987-90 layout)
    Suzuka (1991-99 layout)

These are obviously significant tracks in the career of Ayrton Senna, who (unsurprisingly!) is the focus of a lot of the historic F1 content. So maybe a Monaco 1991 and a Suzuka 1988 & 1991 would be the next logical tracks to get the historic treatment. Monaco was really where Ayrton most dominated, winning 6 out of 7 races in 1987-93. And Suzuka of course is really the track where the most significant events of his career occurred, from 1988-1991.

If we were to stay purely on a Senna based theme then Donington Park 1993 would also be a good one, as it's considered the venue of perhaps his greatest drive. And we even have the cars to (try to!) recreate that famous day now.

    Awesome!
What exactly does a track being black mean?
Shouldnt Interlagos 1990 also be blue?

I assume black means the track and layout are in game

I've updated Interlagos 1990 (with 1991 being the version to use for this year)

as @Racinglegend1234 said, black text means a version of that track exists in game but there is no accurate historical version for that year.
