Like the Brazilians, Aussies like to purposely make their race cars harder to drive. This video explains a lot about the SuperV8--and barely mentions the spool-style diff/transaxle that we like to dwell on here Why V8 Supercars are THE HARDEST to Drive - YouTube
It's true that they are difficult to drive, do you have any advice on configuration to make these cars more stable? I'm a fan of this series, I love the cars, their noise, the circuits, the close racing...
The first thing one would do if faced with a car that handles like the SuperV8 is adjust the differential...but then you realize it is not adjustable and designed on purpose like that. So, the only advice I know of is to follow what is described in the video regarding driving technique.
I think I remember watching this video. I was surprised that in a video that explains why V8 Supercars are so tricky to drive there's no mention of the spool.
