When I launch into a race or session, the view always starts out in bumper view. Is there a setting or file I can edit so it starts in the cockpit view, so I dont have to change it all the time?
ByTheWay: Instead passively asking the same question again and again (and in an un-english language too) then try to use some creativity.
No worries about any language thingies......young-ins wont understand the reference. But obviously it is not possible to change starting cam position......
Dude...why are you here? Do you have the answer to my simple question? Or are you just here in this thread to argue, complain, and side track it? Lighten up please....just a tad would be cool.
I think the thing is, it saves it by default. We just pick a view with the key and it's remembered without editing a file or doing anything special. The question is really why yours isn't getting saved - and I'm guessing that no one knows why and that's why few have replied. I'd suggest it's either the way the game is exiting (if it crashes before it's written the file) or something that stops the game writing to the documents folder (but the latter would suggest that it wouldn't save anything you did in the game and probably would give errors - some people had a windows 11 feature on that prevents apps from writing to documents folder and that gave them issues - controlled folder access I think it was called) No idea which file it's saved to, but although the graphics / VR settings are in xml format the other save game stuff is in a binary format. If you're playing the game and go back into the pits and drive again has it not remembered? Or if you exit single race, choose a different track / car, does it remember your change then? i.e is it that the choice of view doesn't persist at all, or is it lost only when you exit and return to the game?
Micheal, thanks for your time. Nothing odd going on, running Win10 and do not have issues from crash or other exits. This happens pretty much every time I enter a new track/race event. It has been an issue for a very long time...like over a year or more. If there was a easy fix or some way to edit a file to fix this....I would surely be grateful.
