I switched from the HP G2 to the Quest 3 and now my picture in AMS2 is compressed in width, maybe around 30%, so it's clearly visible. This is only with AMS2, all other games are fine in VR. Any idea?
Have u tried to delete the file “graphicsconfigoculusdx11.xml”? The game will re-create that file to default by the next game start.
I just checked the normal graphicsconfigdx11.xml. If there is a similiar line in your graphicsconfigoculusdx11.xml you could try to manually edit the width. <prop name="Mode" adapter="0" width="1680" height="1050" refresh_num="59954"
thanks, I found it and changed the values to what I had with the G2, but still the picture is compressed. But it is only with the menu, in the game everything is fine. So in the menu a Porsche looks like a VW Beetle, will play around with other values…
yes I set to borderless, I tried also several resolutions, always with the effect that menu is either compressed or stretched in the width, really strange
I'd suggest renaming your AMS 2 settings folder in documents (so you don't lose everything) Running the game with complete default and fresh settings and seeing if it works. If it does, then it's a setting you have in your old settings folder. If it doesn't then it's probably a bug with some aspect of this new headset - and you can delete the new settings and rename your old one back again - and hopefully either oculus or reiza will find and fix the issue.
Hi, im thinking off buying a Quest 3. I currently have a reverb g2 but the tracking isnt the best there a big jump in terms of visual quality and is the tracking more stable on the q3?
I own the Quest 3 and I'm very satisfied. I managed to get MSFS2020 and DCS running pretty well with it, but for AMS/ACC I stayed on the G2. Main reason is, that I never was able to get close to the performance with my G2. I tried with the link cable and also Virtual Desktop (72Hz, SSW, etc), but either it is blurry (ACC) or FPS drops significantly (ACC/AMS2).
