    Hi Michi.

I am the owner of the Global Endurance Modding team responsible for one of the conversions of Kyalami (the 2022 version). I must say I'm surprised by the claims you're making, especially because there seems to be a lack of evidence that supports it. We have been unable to find the Reddit thread you're referring to. Would you be able to provide a link?

When it comes to AMS2/Reiza textures being used in rFactor 2, this is an interesting and complicated matter. As I'm sure you know (since this is the very thread about them), Reiza created several tracks for rFactor 2 and textures from those tracks seem to have made their way into official tracks released by Studio 397 after the initial release of the Reiza tracks. This includes Silverstone (recently removed from rF2 because the licence expired) and Loch Drummond, which are both tracks that are commonly used by modders as reference and as a source for common textures like the track and terrain surfaces.

@Michi Akona Welcome to the forum.

If that were the case those mods would not be around for so long.
While some rips might be around, chances on Steam are very small before it gets taken down.
Most modders these days are very careful about copyright, hence why they give credit to the original makers.

If there is something to report, feel free to report.

To say schedule projections for this update have been unreliable would be a massive understatement so without insisting on that mistake, here is is a status update - we have now updated all the content (cars & tracks) to the latest PBR shaders, audio has been updated to better suit the new audio engine and physics revisions are ongoing. To make up for the delays we´ve elected to to replace the older AMS1 F-Vee & Metalmoro AJR models with the latest higher quality ones from AMS2, with liveries likewise updated - previews below:

Some of my all time favorite rF2 content. This will make some people very happy I'm sure.

I will test it as well after release. Currently a bit hard to get into rF2 again after the magic moments I have with AMS2. But rF2 is still the sim I played the most according steam (around 1,430hrs).

Interesting that in rf2 they have rainwater sitting there as puddles on the side of a crest, never seen that before. Shouldn't it be pooling on the flat?

Does this update already consider the tyre model update that Rfactor2 did some months ago?

Righto, still looks unnatural to me though the way it is rendered, maybe it is because the rest of the track does not look wet like the real life footage

Amazing! Hope this stuff gets used in their Race Control System. Would love to race this stuff online. At least Imola and VIR have been part of the track rotation recently, but those cars would be a nice change of things as well. Really looking forward to the update!

Makes sense. There are not so many official tracks (produced by S397 or ISI) ingame on a high level from my point of view.

Boah...the offline experience is so hard when coming from AMS2. That's the other side of the coin since there were hardly any update or fixing the ai issues coming up or were already in for the last 8 years. I'm the guy who normally buys each sim and I also own almost all content (even iR for the road stuff). However I think I'll wait how much of rF2 is in LMU to figure out if I'd play it in any manner.

However I will give the Reiza update a try of course. Also to figure out how the cars handles to AMS2 and especially how the revised tracks are shining.
