No matter what car I choose, whenever the game loads up it always defaults to the Chevrolet cruze stock car 2002 (a car I never drive). This has only started happening since the New Year update. It's a small bug but still pretty annoying.
Weirdly yesterday for the first time since the update, it didn't occur and my previous selected car was remembered. Very strange.
Maybe it is an old bug returning. About 1 year back I found a way to make the game NOT launching the default car instead of the one last used. If you selected the wanted car and then crashed it completely into a wall and then ESCed out without going back to pit/setup the new car was saved. Sorry I cant remember if you had to do this in SP or MP mode. Hehe it worked
I speculate that during a recent Windows Security Update, Windows Controlled Folder Access has been turned on for Windows users who had it disabled? You should check if Windows Controlled Folder Access has been turned on, and either add an exception for Automobilista 2 (this is the recommended solution), or disable Windows Controlled Folder Access completely, although the latter seems to reset itself every now and then with Windows Security Updates. Me too! I hadn't changed anything on my end, but the car selection was no longer resetting. Controlled Folder Access was previously, and still is, disabled.
