I'm probably not the only one doing some long hours at Daytona right now while keeping up with the IRL action on track and after swapping stints with the AI for 6 hours I have some thoughts.
First and foremost - It was a lot of fun, thanks Reiza for making that possible, and I'll be doing it again for sure. I want to make that clear before I post more and make it clear that these are minor points that will make a good experience a great experience.

My main gripe was tyres. I know I was driving a GT3/D so had all the technology in the world to keep my tyres in good condition but the tyre wear was...lacking.

(bad screenshot, I know, but my VR has a higher rez than my monitor so it is what it is. The right tyres were only marginally worse)
This was my tyre wear after 2 full stints by me. 200L of fuel. Over 60 laps of Daytona.
I could easily tripple or quadruple stint tyres at this kind of wear rate.
The AI driving my car, however, was absolulty massacring tyres after only 1 stint. The tyre wear bar being well into the last 20%. Which leads me to think that tyre wear while the AI is driving is based on time driven and not physics modelled wear on the rubber. To back this up somewhat I've also noticed that if I start a MP session, so league racers can practice on a DLC track they dont own, my cars tyres will wear to nothing just by sitting in the pitbox for an hour or so on the Monitor screen.

    More tyre talk.
Very little tyre wear aside there is no point double/tripple stinting tyres as it takes far longer to fill a tank of fuel than it does swap tyres, roughly 38s for 100L compaired to the 18ish seconds to change tyres, when they both happen symiltaneously. This is actually fairly accutate for events like Daytona but in 'other' endurance events then double/tripple stinting tyres is a strategic choice we dont seem to have.
Also an option to change your tyre pressures for the next change is sorely needed. Yes I know you can set this up in pitstops beforehand but you would need a ludicrous number of saved stops to cover the weather over a longer endurnace race.
    Speaking of pitstops.
My engine was getting 1% damage roughly every 2 stints, which makes sense to be fair, but unless you have pitstops set up specifically to ignore engine/gearbox damage you will get into a situation where to fix that 10% suspension damage you also have to swallow 3mins in the pits to fix 2% engine damage.
Along with "Aero only", "mech only", "All" or "None" an option to repair all except the engine would be great. Or if there was a threshhold damage had to cross before it was repaired unless you specifically told the game otherwise.

    AI driving the car.
While AI has control of the car the telemetry screen is very limited, you have no information about tyre temps and the tyre wear is visible but greyed out.
AI drivers seem to pit roughtly 15 minutes before they have to. Watching my own AI driver it pitted with about 20L of fuel still in the tank and, when I was driving, I was going about 15 minutes longer than the other AI drivers which adds up to missing whole stops pretty quickly.
Also when the AI handed the car back to me the brakes were stone cold, again making me think that the AI controlled cars (even my own) are running on very different physics that dont calculate things like brake temp.

Yellow flags. I had yellow flags active for the race but had none in 6 hours. Somebody should have made a mistake in that time, even AI drivers.

GT3 cars. Is there any way we can have a GT3 class that is all the most recent cars from each manufacturer? I know I can add GT3gen1 and GT3gen2 but it makes the position in class seperate for each of them and just feels a little 'off'. Very minor gripe.

One very very minor point. Car dirt. Can the cars get grubby on longer races, also windshields. I've been abusing this car for the last 6 hours and it should show.

Okay I know that all sounds bad and like I'm kicking sand in Reizas face but I want to say again I HAD A LOT OF FUN and will be doing it again. I wanted to discuss these things and move the experience from Good to Great.

Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Unless we get the option to limit tyre sets allocation (the reason they double stinted at Daytona), there will be little to no reason for double stint.

And yes, the option to adjust tyre pressures in pit stop menu is really needed for longer races, makes a pain especially when weather changes.
Also it would be great if I could automatically apply my current setup pressures to a pit preset, so I don't have to copy them.

While I doubt AI has extensive brake temp simulation, changing tyres reset brakes also for player. Small little bug that is there.

Well, the way is Reiza releasing more GT3 Gen 2 DLCs. GT3s got faster over the years ( they gained 4seconds in qualy, in Barcelona, in the last 5 years)... So it makes sense that they are in separate classes, as the older cars are at significant disadvantage when put againts the newer ones.

I would love to have the following GT3 cars for the Gen2: Ford Mustang, Aston Martin Vantage Evo (!), Ferrari 296 GT3, Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2, Corvette Z06 GT3.R and the Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II. But also I would like to have the Oreca 07 LMP2 and the Ligier JS P320 LMP3 cars.

This would give us a great opportunity for liveries for different great racing series like the European Le Mans Series etc!
