Why can't we get a set of 1960s/70s tracks? F1 car mods for that period are amazing to drive. A set of 1960s cars and tracks must be worth at least £20
He’s maybe asking why we don’t get older versions of the F1 tracks in the game. They’ve stopped in the 70s. I assume it’s due to data, but IDK
While I agree with the sentiment in the original post (and I would also include 1950's F1 content as well), let's examine what we have already. We have a dozen 1970s F1 cars spanning across 3 classes, and we currently have the following tracks that are from the 1970s F1 calendar and that are period correct: Hockenheimring 1977 Interlagos 1976 - included in base game Kyalami 1976 - included in base game Monza 1971 Nürburgring 1971 Silverstone 1974+1975 Spa 1970 Spielberg 1974+1977 (Österreichring) - included in base game It can of course get even better than this over time, but given that the list of tracks above are the most famous locations, I think it's a bit optimistic to get a "full set" (full season) of 1970s F1 content, or enough popular 1970s tracks to be competitively priced at the £20 which is suggested in the original post. Keep in mind that the Premium Track Pack is priced similarly for 6 tracks with many layouts each, and it already contains the most popular 1970s locations (the most requested missing tracks being Zandvoort and historic Monaco). 1960s content - this is where the list gets more sparse. We currently have the following 1960s car classes: 1967 F1: 2 cars 1968 F1: 4 cars Formula Junior (modern vintage racing class based on early 1960s Formula Junior): 1 car 1960s Touring Cars: 2 cars Strictly speaking, we don't have any 1960s tracks. But if you don't mind the trackside armco barriers that replace the hay bales, then the 3 tracks Monza, Silverstone, and Spa are as they were in the 1960s. And if you don't mind a few other minor layout changes, you get a handful more tracks - plenty enough to have a full season of historic racing. Not to forget that 1960s and 1970s cars also race on modern tracks today, such as exhibition races at Monaco.
Reasons why we have little 1960s content: Lack of good reference material Reiza's high standards for track modeling quality, which requires good reference material Reiza's plans for a future career mode and the general marketing of Automobilista 2 as a celebration of Brazilian motorsports history, which primarily began in the early 1970s Still, I would love to see more 1950s and 1960s content, and hope that Reiza can allow for some more wiggle room with regards to historic accuracy in order to make it happen.
