how does DRS work on these cars. I press DRS button in activated zones and Hitech 1 has a green dot on dash and Hitech 2 does not. Is there supposed to be a rear wing change/animation? On Up shift auto and downshift manual, if override in options is manual the car is entirely manual and in auto it is entirely auto?? I have the setting on car setup to upshift only as well as showing the same in ICM? Also the Hitech one does not have this option in advanced setup nor the ICM?? I am using the FW14 and Fw15 cars btw.
The activation depends on the model. All except the Benetton are press once to turn on and then once again to turn off. The Benetton is a push to pass system. The rear is supposed to drop IIRC
I don’t fully understand your question, but when the cars in manual you only need to press up and down (no clutch)
No, in 1993 they called it ‘Low drag config’ which lowered the rear and raised the front ride heights on the straights, to get a handful of extra kph top speed. It wasn’t as comprehensive as modern DRS is, but when you’re fighting for the smallest of marginal gains, you go to these lengths.
1:20’s to 1:18’s at 1993 Interlagos in the McLaren MP4/8 with my new DRS button. There’s probably more to the gain than that, but I’ll take what I can get
Does anyone know how to enable the upshift only mode? As I said in my earlier post gameplay manual or auto mode for gearing makes the car entirely one way or the other. Having upshifts only selected for the car seems to make no change?
Change it in the setup screen. If that doesn’t work, try changing the assist by binding it to a key and cycling through
Hi, on Hitech cars there is the option to have them autoshift up or down only. How do you get this towork. If i have the car set to automatic gearing and set the car to autoshift up it still auto shifgs up and down. If I set options to manual gears and auto shift up on the car setup i have to change up and down manually. I cannot see how to have the car manually shift down but auto shift up?
