Hi all, a friend is looking to buy a new PC purely to play Automobilista 2. I have just bought one and could give him my old one, rather than him save for a new PC, however my old one was replaced for a reason - it was old! I was hoping to list the basic specs below and hopefully, one of you nice people would be able to give me some indication of whether the setup could run the game. I'm not sure if there is a trial version of the game - if there is, I could download it and give the system a try myself. Thanks in advance! Hi, There is indeed a demo version. Car lineup consists only of VW Polo but at least you can at least check if your PC is good enough. And speaking about specs, I think it should run on the lowest settings. I used to run this game on FX-6300 CPU, which is only slightly faster than i5 750, and maintain 60 FPS for most of the time (on medium-low settings).
Just don't judge the sim on the VW cars. They are completely unlike any of the other vehicles in AMS2, it's really more of a promo for VW than a proper demo of what AMS2 has to offer. But it should suffice to determine how well AMS2 will run for you
Our systems are reasonably comparable. The main difference is my server CPU I bought for almost free 2nd hand from China. Before that my CPU was almost the same as you the i7-920. I guess the CPU I use now the Xeon x5670 can be plugged directly into your MB. Im guessing I can run AMS2 with a lot of the graphics maxed. Probably because I run on a small monitor (low pixels count).
