Hi, I've been trying to assign the Simagic TB-1 handbrake to the 'extra brake' function in AMS2 but the sim doesn't see the TB-1 axis when I try to assign it. The TB-1 is working correctly. I think the 'extra brake' is the handbrake function for the RallyCross vehicles? regards Kev Lewis
Nope, it's the one sided special "steer brake" of the Mc Laren MP4/12 and is working only with this one car! But unfortunately no clue why your handbrake isn't recognized by AMS2...
That's... false? At least to my knowledge. Extra brake should include the handbrake on a few cars (road cars, Caterhams, etc.). Not sure about rallycross tho. EDIT: Definitely false. Even the patch notes when the Mclaren was introduced talk about extra brake still working as a handbrake for cars that have it. So I just tried it and it indeed didn't work at first - so after checking it works in SimPro, I restarted the game, calibrated pedals and wheel, and it assigned successfully. EDIT 2: here's a full list of info on all cars, including which ones have a handbrake AMS2 v.1.5.5.2 - Extended Car Info v1.0.34 - Google Drive EDIT 3: Wow street cars don't have a handbrake. But the COPA TRUCKS and RX and the TSI do. lol
Thank you for the replies folks, I recalibrated all the wheel/pedals axes and then tried to assign the handbrake again and it worked. No idea what I did differently this time but at least it's working now. regards Kev
If you use multiple USB direct connections to a PC, this problem will exist. Because the game does not recognize the specific names of devices, it only reads them using "ID1, ID2, or Joy1, Joy2...". So if the order changes during startup, the buttons will become invalid.
