I'm posting this here rather than in the support section as it isn't really an issue with the game. I just had a go in the Uno at Ibarra Spoiler: rant which was a fantastic experience, it is really refreshing to see cars like this added to AMS what with the onslaught of GT cars in most racing games. I was giddy with excitment as I cranked the engine in the little Uno and it didnt disappoint once on track, what an engaging experience! and tried to record a replay with Fraps (and shadowplay afterwards.) No matter what I try there is no sound in the recorded video. I have tried disabling all other devices in windows, changing Fraps audio from stereo to multichannel and changing AMS config audio device from 4 speaker to stereo but each time there is no audio in my recorded video file. I have made plenty of videos in another racing game with no issue. Any suggestions how to fix this issue? Thanks
So when I export the video/audio in replay mode I can hear audio. I use a soundcard (Xonar) and wondered if that was the issue. I tried switching to TV audio through HDMI and still no sound in recordings. I found a thread over at RD which suggested changing the recording devices in Windows, that didnt work either. Im completely stumped by this
Tbh, we suggest using third party software such as AMD/Nvidia/Open Broadcasting Software solutions to export videos.
Thank you for the reply To be honest, I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean to record/capture a video with third party software or there is some software that can "export" a video in a different way? I have tried to capture/record a video with both Nvidia shadowplay and Fraps software but with both of those I have no audio in the recording. Using all the same settings I have audio when I capture AC footage for example. I hear audio just fine when I am racing in AMS and when I watch the replay, also when I export a replay using the built in exporter thing. It is only in the recordings I make with third party software that I have no audio at all. I have tried changing all audio options I can find in AMS, Windows and Fraps but with no success.
Well, I've managed to get audio in recordings by changing Fraps & Windows audio settings. I had to turn off record windows sound and turn on record external sound in Fraps and change my Windows recording device. The new problem is it sounds strange Does anyone know what might cause this? (I use Asus Xonar sound card and have 4.1 speaker system.)
