Hi together, I'm new to AMS2 and to simracing in general. The last weeks I have played offline only with AI and had a blast! Today I gived multiplayer a try and registered to racecraft.online. I started on a practice mode server and was not able to leave the pit. The car was stuck in neutral. After checking my gameplay settings (which where the same as always), the car suddenly was working as expected and manual transmission was working. After practice, the quali and race was starting (on another server) and there I had the exact same issue. The car was stuck in neutral and after checking the gameplay settings, everything seems to work again. Unfortunately, for the race, I forgot to go in the gameplay settings (I was nervous, of course) and so I was stuck again in neutral at the beginning of the start causing a big accident with the following drivers - which was very unsatisfied. After that, I connected to a practice server again and was playing a bit around. When I map a button to "gear up", I was able to leave neutral with this button without going to the gameplay settings. But automatic transmission fails to work so I stayed in gear "1". Again, after checking the gameplay settings, everything was working fine. Am I the only one whose gameplay settings are only working AFTER checking the gameplay settings for each new connection? Seems very inconvenient to me. EDIT: I am not using any mods. Thanks in advance! Best regards Mr. WeaZel
Hi All! Nevermind, I found out that the server I was connecting to forces manuell transmission. That's why the car was stuck in neutral all the time. But now I am wondering why I was able to bypass this server rule with my personal gameplay settings. Best regards Mr. WeaZel
Personal assist settings overriding the server's assist settings is a known issue with AMS2. Basically: it just happens ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
