Yes it's true, it will only be used for single races anyway. I was thinking of doing a championship "by hand" by processing the results race after race, so nothing too annoying, the editor in this way can provide a lot of flexibility in the paddock throughout a season.
Yeah, you can just use a spreadsheet to do the championship points, the game also doesn't have constructor points so the spreadsheet will do that for you as well. But for those that want to use the in game custom championship, they can change the XML file on a race by race basis no problem, you just have to restart the game each time you change the XML.
Screenshoot by Raphael Rodrigues. F1 1993 Season by Immersion Modding Group is WIP but progressing nicely
This McLaren is very pretty ^^ On the other hand, what is this livery that follows it in red and white, with, it seems to me, a No. 15?
Hi, Guys! You're doing an amazing and outstanding job! With these mods the immersion is spectacular. I drove them a while now. Wow! Today i thought something looks a bit weird. I realized that on the Mclaren MP4/4 (1988) and the MP4/6 (1991) the small Marlboro-Logo on the leftsideview is leftsided to the Marlboro-Type (Mirror, Logo, Type). For accuracy , it has to be rightsided to the Type (Mirror, Type, Logo). The MP4/5B and the MP4/7 is ok. It is possible in an update to change it? Thank you soso much. I also have a little question: Even without a livery-mod the MP4/6 has on both sides of the cockpit a black line with a tear on the end. It looks like a scratch. Is that a bug? So, keep on racing !
Thank you for your words and your feedbacks. We certainly have things to improve here and there ... and as you can see we are always OK to bring updates for all our packages. That takes some time. At the moment the focus is on F1 1993 / F Hitech Gen 2. Hoping to give you more news in the following days
Thx for the info. I know that the IMG is busy because of your fantastic work. Can't wait for the F1 1993 season. So i have to be patient, the mod sure will be definitely mindblowing, as everthing that you take on your own hands.. My "critizism" was positively minded, to inform you about this very tiny matter. If noone knows, noone can improve. Take your time, no rush! "The main thing is, that you learn trough your mistakes and get better" A. Senna Joke, this quote doesn't fit in this example, but i like it for myself to become a better person. So, keep on racing!
in the 1992 season mod, which is awesome thanks so much, Mansell is super fast compared to all other drivers. I know he was in real life but is there a way to slow him down just a touch? The XML override does not suggest he should be so far out front, so is there another file I can edit. Also some of the low order cars are so slow that you can lap them many times so they need speeding up as well.
Just lower the Race and Qualy skill of Mansell Patrese and do the opposite for those you want to speed up, the Williams car model however is the fastest by far, so even then they might not be that slow. Bear in mind as well, that it was like that in real life back then, the slow cars were seconds slower and got lapped multiple times in a race.
I admit it's always a great achievement when you can beat the Williams, while you're driving a Benetton or Ferrari... And that's still going a challenge while you'll play F1 1993
The big problem with the calibration of the AI files is the way, AMS2 handles the AI skill values. If you lower the quali or race skill values, almost all the lap time is lost in the corners whereas in reality theres also a variation in torque and top speed for example. So in game this leads to backmarkers going fast on the straights but being incredibly slow in corners. As a player you often can't overtake them on the straights but have to overtake them on the outside line in corners. Frankly, one of the reasons, why at the moment racing against the AI is not fun anymore for me. But as long as we are not able to change values like top speed or max torque for every ai driver/car, but still want somewhat realistic lap times and skill gaps, we unfortunately have to live with that. I still highly value the incredible work jusk has done with the AI files, just hoping in the future we get more options from Reiza to dial in the AI experience even better. On another note, I'm really looking forward to the 1993 season realease. The skins look fantastic once again.
