Should I be able to use a mediafire shared link as the URL to insert an image in a post?
I have been trying to load a picture in a conversation post but it just keeps failing. Uploaded pics to drop box and mediafire tried using the sharing link URL but cant seem to get the picture to load with my post.

Conversation posts don't seem to have the upload file option.

    Any help appreciated

I had the issue of missing upload picture box, solution below:
It was due to Chrome + PopUpBlocker (PoperBlocker).

After i whitelisted the forum, upload pic worked no problem.

Please provide example links, thanks. I suspect that sharing links will not be links directly to images.

That's not a suitable link for embedding. It needs to be a direct link to the image. If you visit the url in a browser you should see only the image and nothing else on the page. Imgur/flickr/photobucket and other similar image sharing sites are a better place to upload and provide you with the direct link you need. Most will give you the cut and paste forum embedding code right by the image.
