Yesterday for no reason my Fanatec CLS DD just stopped working on Automobilista 2. I can't steer, brake or even change gears. My Fanatec works on my other racing sims with no problem, so can anyone help me figure out what happened? I easered the game off my computer and reloaded and still doesn't work.
Try deleting your documents folder on your c drive named AMS2.This will erase all user settings. Then verifiy steam files integrity. Turn PC off and on. You should now have a brand new settings page and all your files are good.
I wouldn't delete the folder - I'd just rename it so it can be easily rolled back when this wasn't an issue or you want to copy some config files later on.
I have tried uninstalling every file associated with Automobilista 2 including the game itself. The game will not work with my Fanatec CSL DD (5Mn). My Fanatec will work with every other racing sim I have to play. Can anyone give an idea on what happened?
An uninstall will not fix a settings folder problem. It is in your documents folder of your C drive. You can uninstall the game, but the C drive settings folder will remain. Delete it and restart your computer. Enter AMS2 and a new settings sheet will be written for you on the C drive documents folder. Now set up set up your wheel from scratch. You should be good to go.
I want to thank everyone for their help, but I give up on getting this game to work. I have tried everything that was suggested and nothing worked. I have taking all the files for this game off my computer and even reload the file for my Fanatec wheel and still nothing. The game does work with my game pad but not my wheel, why?
I miss playing Automobilista 2, my steering wheel is not still working. But interestingly the driver has the steering turned to the left but still will not move. I've tried everything to get my fanatec CSL DD with this game. It's works with every other Racing Sim I have, I'm stuck. . .
