Just watching F1 qualifying in Zandvoort.
What a rollercoaster track with lots of bankings!
Do you think we will ever get this wonderful natural track in AMS2?
It’s also a historic track. Was my favourite track in Grand Prix Legends.
Reiza could bring actual F1 track and historic variants. What do you think?

I do not want to derail this topic, but the 2021 version is available in rF2 and very well done.

Yeah agreed, i think the one on rf2 is the best modern version out there at the moment, would be nice to see it in ams2 as well

Only just learnt this track last week doing some ranked racing in RRE , it’s a great track once you learn the blind corners. But it clear looking at the irl f1 footage that sector3’s manufactured version is a bit off in terms of banking steepness.
I would certainly welcome a proper scanned version.

Uhm, you know, that R3Es version is the pre-reconstruction version, right? OG Zandvoort had no banked corners.

The track was reprofiled for 2020.

A bit late, but there's not really anything wrong with Raceroom's version of the track, becouse it's how the track was before 2020. It's actually very well done for a non-laser scanned version.

I enjoy Zandvoort a lot in ACC and R3E, and if we ever got to have Zandvoort in AMS2 I guess we would have at least the before and after the 2020 changes of the track, and maybe even some older historical versions as well, which would be nice.

The new banked corners might actually make the track more fun to race since it can be difficult sometimes to make passes while racing with faster modern cars on the pre 2020 version.

I wasn’t rubbishing their version, I agree they do well with non scanned tracks, I just noticed the banking , and now I’ve learnt why.
l have not known much of the track because it’s not something that was on the radar for any series that I follow as outside of F1 , European stuff isn’t that accessible for me.

As more of a general point of view, my vote is always for more tracks over more cars. New tracks offer a new racing experience in a way that a different car with somewhat different characteristics from other cars does not.

I think Zandvoort came out as free DLC for Project CARS 3, so not impossible

Zandvoort would be nice. I wonder if all the orange smoke will affect framerate. :)

Zandvoort would make a great addition I think. Although I'm not a fan of F1 there the tracks is a great drivers track for slower cars and also historics. Maybe the current layout and the previous one, and then an entry in the vintage tracks DLC with a 1965 or 1967 version would be great IMO.

The F1 cars looked amazing there last night, really gives you an idea of how tight, twisty and undulating the track is. For F1 purposes ideally it probably needs to be a couple of metres wider and the pit straight a few hundred metres longer.

I know this is pretty old, but i was just watching round 15 of the F1 24 season and this track looks like a lot of fun. Would love to have it in AMS2

Zandvoort is a great track for sure but imo not really suited for modern F1 cars. It's too tight. However I'd love a modern and historic version of it for AMS2 since we have a lot of slower cars in this sim which would fit perfectly.

It's pretty good fun in F1 24 for hotlapping, but I agree it's not well suited to racing those massive F1 cars we have these days.

Would love to see Zandvoort in AMS2. But I don’t think it’s gonna happen. Only via mods perhaps.

Why wouldn’t it? If they want to add a track which works with a majority of their formula classes, then Zandvoort is one of the few which is left to add

Zandvoort is one of the big missing European circuits, together with Paul Ricard and Mugello.

The Jarama circuit in Madrid was designed by the same architect who designed Zandvoort and I think would suit AMS2 greatly, probably with a low license fee.
