I really enjoy the F1 ultimate cars but if I race at tracks like Road America and Bathurst, I can't use DRS and this really detracts from the race.
Reiza, do you plan to add DRS zones to non-F1 tracks?

IMO it should be unlimited on tracks without DRS zones

Unlimited could be an option, but I'd like it to stick to the F1 style.

Would probably be more work, but I know of something which could help

I’ve done it before, but that was a long time ago. Need to do it in V1.6

Thing is that these tracks need DRS/DET markers, so that means double trackfiles, which is a no go. However, if you do it without markers it could be possible, but in some cars you will not know when to activate the DRS. Code-wise I think my colleagues can do it. Also AMS2 strives for realism, so what is wise?

You know what I’m thinking of when I say that a new feature could make it possible to introduce DRS rules

    Could you elaborate?

That they can code DRS in, I think.
Also I forgot licenses could also come in play, tho.

What is the "DRS on any track" policy like in other racing sims? (aside from Codemasters F1 series, since that only has modern F1 tracks)
If there are other racing sims that allow this, what rules have they settled for?

There are other classes in AMS2 that can reduce drag anywhere on command, such as the Formula HiTech. Even if they race on F1 tracks with DRS zones, they're not limited by the DRS zones or the "must be close behind" rule. Not that I mean anything by this statement other than providing context.

Those are their rules. Modern F1 has different rules, but they should (IMO) make modern F1 cars have those old rules on tracks without DRS
