I've tried EA's F123 and F124 and I think Reiza's 2024 Formula Ultimate (F1) is miles better. Reiza could really dominate the F1 market with this great content but a lot of F1 tracks are missing. Obviously I have no idea how difficult/expensive it is to license tracks, but if they could fill in most of these gaps in the calander and create Q1, Q2 and Q3 qialifying, then F1 on AMS2 could really take off.
I'd say that creating tracks is quite a bit more work than cars, especially if we're talking about street tracks with a huge amount of trackside objects. And I mean HUGE. And look how many street courses we have now in F1 (without Monaco) : Baku, Miami, Melbourne, Singapore, Las Vegas. That's plenty of work for the track/3D department. And at this point we haven't even started to talk about licensing costs.... So you see where this is going.
Modding>licensing costs Genuine question, has a single track owner ever even considered suing Kunos for the thousands of unlicensed tracks in Assetto Corsa?
Urban circuits offer a greater diversity of circuits. For a better representation of current F1, some street circuits and Middle Eastern circuits are missing in my opinion. Adding for example Singapore and Bahrain would correct this. I cite Bahrain because this circuit has been on the F1 calendar for 20 years and is also used for the WEC. Other circuits like Baku are also interesting. Obtaining a complete calendar seems illusory to me, but proposing a coherent calendar is possible.
I would like to have tracks like Bahrain, Mexico, Melbourne & Zandvoort in AMS2, but I don‘t want tracks like Las Vegas of Dschidda. But how can a modern F1 calender in AMS2 could be build with what we have? Here is my idea: 01. Kyalami - South Afirca 02. Circuito dos Cristais (Curvelo) - Brazil 03. Adelaide - Australia 04. Kansai - Japan (Suzuka) 05. Le Mans Bugatti - France 06. Hockenheim - Germany 07. Imola - Italy 08. Azure - Monaco 09. Montreal - Canada 10. Barcelona - Spanien 11. Spielberg - Austria 12. Silverstone - UK 13. Cascais (Estoril) - Portugal 14. Spa - Belgium 15. Jerez - Spanien 16. Brands Hatch - UK 17. Monza - Italy 18. Nürburgring - Germany 19. Donington Park - UK 20. Indianapolis - USA 21. Long Beach - USA 22. Sao Paulo - Brazil 23. Watkins Glen - USA 24. Ternas Rio Hondo - Argentina If we could add DRS-Zones to the none-F1 Tracks ingame, this would be a really nice season calender (just my 2 cents). Like 2020 covid race season, one of my favourtie seasons I ever watched because of the great tracks we got.
i dont know, probably yes? as a modder myself, i think simracing modding is a grey area and porting (ie literally copy/paste of licensed PC2 cars in AMS2) is a dark grey/almost black area IMO
