Hello everyone, today I randomly tried Lossless Scaling, a software available on Steam for a few euros (about 6), which promises miracles with upscaling and frame generation technology. I thought it would make the whole game full of graphical artifacts like the spacewarp options in VR, but instead, I was pleasantly surprised. The game, with all the graphics settings maxed out on my triple-screen setup (7680x1440 144hz), in the worst possible conditions (GT3, rain, night, P15 out of 30 cars on the starting grid), maintained a solid 140fps with zero graphical artifacts. Without the program running, I only get around 60fps with big framerate drops, even though I have a 4080 Super. I still need to do some more in-depth testing, but it seems to integrate perfectly with the Madness engine. For now, I can only recommend it to anyone (unfortunately, it doesn’t work for VR), and let me know your settings!! Game changer.
hello, how do you launch your game? With amd eyefinity/nvidia surround enabled (3 screens as only 1) or 3 separated screens? Few months ago I tried to get working the Loss less scaling but without success. Do you set a low resolution ingame and let loss less scaling raising up the resolution? or native resolution ingame? Thanks
Hi, the game need to be in windowed or borderless mode than you simply Alt Tab to Lossless Scaling, click on SCALE and immediately alt tab back to the game. Even with only frame generation x2 without upscaling or changing the resolution you’re good to go.
I never use frame gen on this game with lossless as the input lag is higher. LS1 scaling I do though, 2560x1440 > 3840x2160.
