So I was thinking about the quote:

Some of the Raceroom drops were pretty big (whole class of cars plus a couple of new tracks) but most game updates are a single track with a pack of cars (AC, PCARS).

So I had to go back to find competition, back to the confusing days of Race07 DLC - so confusing, I don't even remember what's in each one.....

 

I really hope and think this update will be great, but statistically speaking the „big bang“ release strategy has not proven to be overly successful as it’s hard to control/test all changes and interdependencies. And that might be the reason we do not see huge content drops often.

 

True, but sometimes it's the only option, when the Madness Engine was taken to bits to be reassembled again as Renato mentioned it will take time as this opens up an opportunity to work on some parts that are not as easily accessible and can affect a lot of other things.

Some people won't be happy if there's an update every week, some won't be happy with 1.6. Some people won't be happy with anything in between.

All I can say it's worth the wait, especially since 1.5 is a very enjoyable game so it's not that we're left with nothing.

 

Even if you take all the dlc out of the equation it as got to be one of, if not the biggest updates to a game that I can think of.

 

I have developed some rfactor2's tires for a MOD some years ago. Is the new Reiza tire model as complex as the one used in rfactor2 or it's simplified? I have to say that the rfactor2 model was a nightmare to work with, it took me months of testing and builts.

A non forum player will read "Overtake" and will never think that there was work on this .

Even on the start of LMU some YTbers / players with "kW" written where thinking that is was a boost so imagine with Overtake or qualifyng written
