WIth a fresh installation of Windows on my PC. I can run all my games, both VR and non-VR, including my sim racing games, without any issues—except for Automobilista 2. Despite reinstalling the game, verifying the integrity of the files, and deleting all files in the Automobilista 2 documents folder, I still only get a black screen when I try to launch it. Both if I start in vr or flatscreen. What a great support, sad that this is the offical support. i was able to launch since one of the last updates after giving up at first and then trying again, now im always stuck in the loading screen. Ofcouse just like back then reinstalled everything even removed temp files and documents etc... also checked integrity of steam files. Having bugs is one thing but ignoring issues like that is just plain bad (seeing forum im not the only one). If your offical support is a forum like this its fine but then atleast f****** reply. Also no email replys from reiza staff, seems like now automobilsta is really dead if even they gave up. wasted over 100 euro and cant play with no reply after waiting since august. If i dont get a reply i will send a refund request on steam including all my attemts reatching the reiza support.
The whole team is in crunch for the new patch and there was a break in the last weeks aswell, so currently ressources are stretched quite thin. So you are getting the black screen already before the Reiza Splash screen? -Have you checked running without antivir software/ (very unlikely but fwiw) unblocking the game in firewall? -What is your Desktop resolution/Frequency -Do you run software in the background that isn't necessary? -You can try launching the game with bare minimum peripherials connected to the PC isolate this possibility of a conflict And yes, if it can't be resolved, please go ahead and request a refund, maybe steam is open for it - this matter might be resolved, but no reason not to if you can't use it.
i was able to fix it after this seems to be related to a registry issue in windows, i fixed it by using revo uninstall to also remove all related registry entries. Happend on a complete new windows install so could be a bug. I didnt put mutch hope into it so saldy didnt lock the registry files before manually, i can try to get them tho if that is any help.
Would be at least interesting to know what part of registry was the culprit if you want to share, yeah.
