To be fair, Kunos is kind of in a tough spot with AC EVO. Most of the core audience in AC doesn't even do actual race events. If you look in the server browser you will mostly find drift, track day and Shutoko Revival servers. Kunos has to give those people a reason to make the switch over to the new game and not just stick with the original AC. Me personally, I'm not into all that and just like to stick to track racing, but I understand why they have to try to cater to everybody. The original AC set the bar very high and it will be interesting to see if EVO can make it over.

Yep, with so many years of modding what the original AC game and DLC is a bit lost. If they put too much resource into what's currently popular online they are going to miss a wider market and when it's going to have so little content at launch you're probably going to disappoint a lot of people.

 

Kunos made the sandbox. Modders made the sandcastles. It took me a long time to realise options and settings weren't the actual game.

 

For me, rfactor 2 is very better than ac for the mod. Tracks mod are very good, graphics are beautifull. But the AI can be weird and there is not a lot of cars mod

 

Kunos put themselves in this tough spot because the reason people don't race in AC is the terrible AI and no ranked MP.

 

Am I the only one the most excited for those lmp's 2 instead of physics or visual improvement

well, i hope we can put our hands on them(lmp2 cars) and of course the most awaited physics update(for me at least) before november, but i doubt it.we must wait a little bit more

 

Lmp2s are my favourite cars in other Sims. Great cars to drive.

 

I do wonder, how will Renato announce the update? Will he drop us a hint in the forum before it comes out? Who knows...

Personally I would like to see them shadow drop it. No hints or teasing, just a trailer and the update is downloadable immediately.

Of course, it's up to them on how they want to release it though.

Considering how poorly giving hints went in the last month I would just shadow drop the update together with a dev update without saying anything before it.

 

Agreed, not being mean but the excitement has really gone off the boil. Last month I'd go into each weekend thinking "will we see it" and then nothing, so the last few weeks I've not even remotely got my hopes up.

I still really want to see it asap but unless its a firm date no point in getting everyone excited
