I’m not one to tell Reiza what to do, but it’s clear that this approach has backfired, and I’m not the only one who thinks so. Could they have announced it now, aiming for a holiday release, while keeping us teased with gameplay and screenshots in the meantime? Maybe. Could they have released smaller updates gradually throughout the year instead of all at once? Perhaps. Could they have done what they did but at least provided a release date? Yes, that probably would’ve been better.

I’m not complaining, to be clear; maybe I’m offering constructive criticism. I’ve only expressed how I feel and my disappointment with how they’ve managed this year’s updates.

Only problem with raceroom is that multiplayer are pretty dead.

100%. You can't have it both ways, either 1.6 is a huge revolutionary step for Automobilista 2, basically validating what the critics had been saying, or 1.5 is good enough, the physics were fine, go play that, and then why are we even hyped for 1.6 for? I also see no point of playing what we know now is an inferior version.
Also all the smugness from beta testers isn't helping one bit, acting high and mighty because they paid extra to basically be free beta testers. Personally it's really souring me towards the community and about AMS2 in general. And I was initially a day one Season pass supporter and would have been for the Reiza club or whatever if I actually had time to be a free beta tester. Anyway, rant done, I still love AMS 2 but the way this update had been handled has sucked in a way that no other updates did.

Competitions are always well-attende (more than 1000 drivers), and it's a lot of fun trying to beat others. I find it fantastic to be able to see the racing line of the person you're challenging, knowing exactly where they put wheels, braked or shifted gears. This allows me to learn and constantly improve. The multiplayer races aren’t as crowded as in AMS2, but once you figure out the peak hours, you can have great races with even 25 participants. Plus, we all get to know each other, and there's a strong sense of competition and adrenaline.

If I remember correctly, there should still be two more "Road to…" announcements before the release of 1.6. Wait and hope that it comes out within this month or the next... Hahahaa!

I'm not expecting or saying Reiza should have a consistent update schedule (like iRacing being around the same 4 times per-year), but at least a consistent dev blog update schedule would be nice to have.

I'm excited for 1.6, but the communication should be way better. Especially with having one preview stream, and then nothing since then, not even a quick showcase video on Reiza's own YouTube channel - even if it's not a full list of what's coming out, it'd be better than absolutely nothing.

Rimane ancora la terza parte, dopodiché verrà rilasciato l'aggiornamento. Penso che lo sapremo da qualche parte verso la fine di novembre e Natale

There are only 2 months left for 2024. I guess it would be difficult to miss a time frame. But I guess, they are fixing bug and they are kind of done.

The first part was released in March, and then they said that the second part would be coming out soon, which actually happened in September after a six-month wait. Then they announced that a third part would be released shortly, and there was even talk of a fourth part due to the sheer amount of information they had.

Now, another month has gone by, and there’s still nothing on the horizon. If they make us wait another six months, the third "Road to" will be published in March 2025... The fourth in September 2025, and version 1.6 of the game will be released in January 2026.

Do you understand why people are losing enthusiasm? It’s a bit like Ian Bell's games, where he announces fantastic new titles like GT Revival, generating hype by showing mouthwatering screenshots of lizards crossing the asphalt and making exciting claims, only for it to turn into one mess after another. He disappears for months without a word, and then suddenly announces that they'll be using the graphics engine from Farming Simulator because Unreal Engine 5 is terrible for VR. It’s just so boring.

Beta testers take note. Your comments on the beta should be kept behind the "wall of smugness", otherwise known as the Paddock Club. Let'em cook.

What’s been the typical time between feature ready beta and release? I remember the march update was announced with about 2 weeks until it was actually out.

Without internet connection you can play a several sims in single player modus but raceroom not and that' s why I wrote it. Don' t get me wrong because Raceroom is a real good sim but not for single player and so I won' t invest in that sim even I want the classic DLC.

Just to ask is quadviews rendering integration possible for future Updates? It will be a big game changer for VR users using HMD with eye tracking.

I'm also curious about how and when 1.6 will be ready.
But in the end we actually get an unofficial 1.7 version with all the changes that were hinted at.

Let's not make a "Scirocco 1.6 Gt" dance out of it.
Sure, something went wrong... Welcome to sim racing.

Anyone who doesn't have patience in this genre will also be involved in the FirstCornerWar in the game.

To all passengers, a previous announcement may have caused some confusion. The train on platform A is the Hype Train. Passengers looking to board the Gripe train may do so at Platform B. The Hype train will be stopping at: Paddock Club Commentary Station, Canadian Tire Physics Discussion Motorsport Park, and New Shader Expressway, with connections to the Car Speculation Zone and Big Grid Excitement Theme Park.

Given the delay, I will say that the train made more stops than initially planned
The current version is playable, and I'm having a lot of fun with it, so I don't have any problems with the wait.
But, I recognize that the communication is very approximate on Reiza's part.

I prefer Reiza to extend the timescales and keep the quality unaffected rather than sacrificing quality to meet the timescales, especially since provided timescales were aims, not actual deadlines or warranties that release will happen then.
