Don't need to delete this thread...

Since 31 may we are waiting for the update . A bit normal to have excitation impatience and opinion about this ( as long as it is respectful)

It is not the same as some people that have the beta acces and can enjoy already.

And people should be happy that AMS2 is so much liked that people want to see upgrades and new content.

I've got access to the Beta as a Kickstarter backer from a few years ago - but the Beta isn't just about having access to the new content, and although those without Beta access might feel a bit aggrieved, I think it's a misunderstood thing. The Beta testing thing is a stress test for Reiza's work on the changes they put in, not just a key to unlock new content and play it early. Forgive me if I am making a huge leap of assumption but it seems to me the impression of a few people are just guessing that Reiza load new content into the Beta in a fully working format and people just roll out, enjoy it and sneer at people who don't have access. In fairness, I've stopped playing the Beta a long time ago because I can't give the same vital and in depth feedback on things that many others have access do provide. It's not all sunshine and excitement - there's a lot of responsibility, and just going "yeah it's fine" would mean that a lot of things might go untested.

For those people who are upset about there being a closed Beta section, it's worth saying that if there wasn't, you'd have 1.6 sooner, but you'd be coming back going "all these bugs spoiling my fun should have been found sooner." Trust Reiza, and don't let people who have Beta access dominate your mind, because honestly, there are people there like me who can't do as good a job at testing what needs to be tested, and it's better and easier to just wait for what's yet to come.

Sure, let’s censor the only thread where people can genuinely discuss the 1.6 update ;)
This thread has been identified as the place to talk about it. If it gets locked, those who want to share their opinions will just create another thread or head over to Reddit.

Fair point on the censorship - unfortunately I'm hyped about 1.6 too but it gets tiring seeing the same people post the same themed responses and comments here on the forum and elsewhere (like Reddit).

About time one of the beta testers leak something! Not like this video will hurt Reiza anyway, everything we see is already well known and announced. It's cool to see some footage, even if unpolished. Keep the good work Reiza!

Exactly but as client of what Reiza is producing it is a bit normal to ask when it will come and the content inside.

Even if this video is relatively harmless since it shows a track we've already seen through Overtake’s lousy stream, breaking an NDA shows a lack of respect for the developers at Reiza. Sure, many players are frustrated by the lack of communication, but this isn't the way to go about it. The team has better things to do than chase down unauthorized videos and NDA breaches.

And that the Beta tester shows a car (the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster) that had not been announced or shown in any teaser in another video, and that as time goes on further the uploader goes into content from known cars and tracks to cars which haven't been announced, id rather they stop the uploader now so there is a bit of a surprise of content when it comes out than it all be leaked.

Shader/graphics improvements are very noticeable. His other video with the roadster is awesome too.

Sure, and in general it's not an issue since most people can keep things relatively civil.

Some people enjoy it more by rephrasing the same thing in 47 different ways and flooding the forum with their indignation -which probably should not merit a response- but we're all human, so that does not always work out perfectly :)

I guess we'll survive this episode too, it's not the first time this happened, it keeps us busy/amused/annoyed at least.

I think this thread should be kept as it is, the hype train where negative comments are not welcome, there is nothing stopping anyone making a new thread to discuss the negative side of the 1.6 development cycle and the lengthy period with no public updates to AMS2.

Perhaps such a thread could be named the 1.6 Tripe train.

I do think that is a legitimate concern for those that bought AMS2 with the understanding that there would be regular updates during it's development. Will 1.7 be over a year away for the majority of AMS2 owners?

I don't really have a dog in the fight, just trying to see things from all sides.

Guys nothing is gonna be taken down, this is perfectly fine to talk about both sides, as long as nobody starts fighting and insulting.

It's also less laserfocussed here than in a Development update thread, just keep it at 1.6 discussions and it's fine.

I’ll start with my disappointment that running the forthcoming 1.6 update in my VR headset won’t allow me to feel the insides of the car with various parts of my body… :D:whistle:

Well if you enjoy that, some cars changed much more than the 2024 stock car, there will be a lot of "old content" to revisit.

Probably I am making things "worse" now, but V1.6 will come at some point, and then this thread will be all but forgotten soon. Then V1.7 gets announced...

I have a small question about the future

For the anti-aliasing will it be a optimisation of spacial AA or it will be temporal / AI

Well, maybe that is for the best, we won’t be needing UV lights.

No clue, Reiza have not started V1.7 yet. Just meant we’re likely to go through this process again at some point with the update hype/drama.

Think Reiza may focus more on things like marshalls waving flags, championship mode, improve AI even more and who knows what else?

Most likely there still will be tweaks to physics but if I had to guess I think that will remain relatively stable compared to the wholesale changes we’ve had before.

This is all just conjecture on my part, I do not really know anything Reiza may be planning, just foruming.
